Hey all - weird question. It looks like a ski trip snapped off the post that the cargo cover connects with in the trunk. Any idea where I might get a replacement? Online search is coming up short.
Update from Ford. Owners of used Mach-Es won't have Electrify America as part of the Blue Oval Charge Network. Which means that Plug & Charge won't work for EA stations (as I understand it). @Ford Motor Company - that sound right to you?
Need more experimentation (I don't use EA chargers that often) but the station often wants me to plug in the charger first before authorizing which trips it up.
Well, I support ticket is open right now. And I may end up on that route. Right now, with P&C turned on, the chargers fail to connect and it screws up the process.
Talking to Ford support right now. First response was that I needed a $50/year EA subscription to get it activated as part of Plug & Charge? That doesn't seem right.
Is Plug & Charge working for anyone? I have my car linked to my Ford account and a credit card uploaded but whenever I plug into an EA charger, I need to use either my CC at the station or activate it through the app. And even that is really wonky.
Well, I feel a little silly. I tried this yesterday on my drive home from work. Turned off "E-Heat" and used the seat heater and steering wheel heater. Efficiency hovered around 4.0 mi/kWh driving through the city. Turned on E-Heat and it dropped back to 2.7 mi/kWh. I knew heating would make a...
Same drive mode (mostly Whisper), 1PD driving enabled. Routes are slightly different (more in-town driving, fewer long summer road trips) and it is slightly cooler so the heater is probably getting more use but it's a small change (Seattle is pretty temperate).
And yeah, the tripometer seems...
Hey all - after my Premium AWD Extended Range Mach-E was totaled, I picked up a slightly used FE. Great car all around, perfect condition. However, when comparing it to the Premium I had previously (drove it for about 4 months), I'm typically getting lower miles/kWh. I used to routinely get...
Have the same issue with Android Auto. Multiple phones don't solve the problem but I'm usually able to BT to connect eventually. Just not the AA connection (wireless or wired).
Yep. My assessment, a combination of lack of urgency from GEICO and AutoNation. Once it got to ServiceKing, things moved fast. Also, I finally found a good agent at GEICO that understood my plight and moved really fast to get the claims processed.
Final update - GEICO called the car a total loss and actually gave me a pretty generous settlement. I'm out my deductible and about $150 in car rentals. Flying to Denver on Thursday to pick up a slightly used Grabber Blue FE and drive it back.
In case this was keeping you up at night - car is still at AutoNation Collision Center as GEICO doesn't agree with the "total loss" claim from AutoNation Ford. Another week and the car hasn't moved. Getting it towed to Service King Bellevue now as they claim they can get it on the rack so they...
