I just bought a new left over 2025 in April. It had been at the dealer for five months. They only charged it the day I bought it. Only put in 15 KWH which brought it to 80 %.
Well it has been more than 10 days but here is my real world hot weather driving.
Just a little info on where I live. I'm in the desert of So. Cal. at 1100' elevation. Shopping area is 12 miles at 350'. Church is 35 miles at 3325'. So weather was hot above 100° with six days over 105. A/C was on...
60 KWH would run me $13.80. My other Ford is a F-350 Diesel which now here the cheapest is $6.09. Only time I'll be driving it is heading out on vacation to South Dakota to see my grand kids and daughter in Sioux Falls. 1400 miles away towing our 5th wheel. Il probably need a bank loan to pay...
Well I live in the desert and we don't call 95° hot. The next ten days here shows 95-110° so I can report how that will effect my 2025
I'm at 3.7 miles per KWH in the 1051 miles since I bought the car.
I'll report back in 10 days with real world driving.
My other Ford is a F-350 Diesel dually. I need to fill it up before we leave on vacation. Tow a 37' Mobile Sites 5th wheel. Headed for South Dakota where my daughter and grandkids live. Where my wife is from that I stood her away coming up on 43 years in June.😁
That was one of the reason I sold my 2023 Santa Fe PHEV Limited and bought a left over 2025 MME. Had a charger for the Santa Fe just bumped up the amps for the Mach E. Also could not pass up 0% financing.🤔
My 2025 did it after having it for only two weeks. Needed a software update that the dealer did. That's been two weeks ago and no problems since. Just turned over 1k miles. Getting 3.7 mi per KWH 😄.
What amp setting are you charging at? Also how low in your battery at when plugged in?
As you stated your only charging for six hours. That might be not long enough if the amps are too low. Or if you have run the battery down too low.
I'm born and raised in California. Only time not living here was when Uncle Sam had me in 68-69. I have never considered myself of being "Green". I bought my 2025 MME because of the high price of gas here . Oh and my other Ford is a 2017 F-350 diesel dually.
