URGENT: plug stuck at fast charger

We released the latch with a think screwdriver and removed the plug! I’m concerned the pin that holds and releases the latch is stuck. taking it to ford to have them inspect the latch. thank you all so much.

I called in-charge and they suggested power cycling the unit (which the property owner did)

URGENT: plug stuck at fast charger

Hi, I’m at an “in-charge” brand fast charger. It wasn’t able to initiate charging and now the plug is stuck in the charge port. I have tried: - locking and unlocking car - pushing unlock button near port for various - manual release cord in frunk - disconnecting 12v battery for 15 min - having...

Car won't start, can't open doors, weird thumping noise

That is super helpful, Lee. I really appreciate you taking the time. Will discuss with dealer.

Car won't start, can't open doors, weird thumping noise

Yes, I know about the tow procedure, thanks for the warning. Tow driver came and jumped the 12V battery. Opened doors, turned car on, and it seems...fine. No warnings. I am just plain bewildered. I *SERIOUSLY* doubt I left any accessory-type stuff running after turning the car off yesterday...

Car won't start, can't open doors, weird thumping noise

Oh my.... Let's hope Ford improves its service. This did actually make me laugh though. The tow truck is en route now.

Car won't start, can't open doors, weird thumping noise

What a mess! Thanks all, for the advice. I will start making phone calls tomorrow. How long does it seem to be taking for the typical owner to get this resolved? A month? More? I really liked this car and it's shocking that there was absolutely no warning. Thankful this happened at home and...

Car won't start, can't open doors, weird thumping noise

Car has 37k miles on it, no problems til things got weird this past Friday. Friday: went on a day trip out of town and had immense trouble charging the car. Went to *EIGHT* EA stations by the time the day trip was over (should've needed two). The chargers either wouldn't connect to the car or...

Minor quibble: Seat belt buckle gets stuck between seat and side panel?

Every time I get in the car, my seat belt buckle (the part that gets pulled over your body) is stuck between the seat and the side of the car. There is a permanent looking mark on the side of the car from the buckle scraping it when I yank it free. Anybody have a solution for this? I've tried...

First road trip questions - planning charging stops

This is all good to learn - thanks all. I will try the 350 kWh charger again. I'm also going to try getting the app going before plugging in at EA.

    Charging at home via 110?

My commute is pretty short (5 miles each way). Is there something wrong with just using the free charger from Ford every night rather than buying and installing a faster charger? Even if I drive more than that sometimes, I figure the slow charger will catch up. There's also an EA fast charger...

Difference Between CCS and CHAdeMO Chargers

I'm the OP from the thread referenced earlier that detailed my problems with Plug & Charge. I suspect my problems stem from the fact that I was never able to fully install P&C in the first place (despite several hours on my own and with Ford reps). Since the app never thought I connected, the...

First road trip questions - planning charging stops

I'm on my road trip now and I *definitely* have learned a lot. #1 AVOID FORD PASS. I couldn't get it connected. I was getting the dreaded connection errors both in the app and on the car. I spent hours attempting to connect it and was on the phone with several people from Ford. No luck. As I...

First road trip questions - planning charging stops

Hi! I'm new and happy to be here. This Mach-E is my first electric car. I'm planning a road trip and I want to take advantage of the FordPass recommendations (in Trip Planner) of when to stop to charge, but as I look at its route with charging recommendations, it takes me down to 10% before...
