  1. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! 🙌

My guess would be they already produced a bunch of these prior to the announcement. Hopefully the shipping dates are an underpromise, overdeliver scenario
  2. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! 🙌

The website actually wouldn’t work maybe due to demand but then started up again. #2369
  3. Financing Balloon after Ford Options

But then the contract language is inaccurate if payment would go up. It says payment will be the same amount.
  4. Financing Balloon after Ford Options

How would it work if the ballon amount amortized over 3 years even with 0% interest is more than your current payment? The contract states payment will stay the same if paid in 36 months or less.
  5. Don't miss out on Ford Bluecruise

Do you know if you can subscribe for $600 offer after the bluecruise expires on 12/31/23? Like can you wait a few weeks or months?
  6. 20,000 Mile Service

I think it depends more on the individual dealer and how Ford is feeling. The dealer is not going to eat the costs for goodwill. Ford has to ultimately cover the repair. If you purchased it there or they feel for you, they may go to bat with ford but there are some many factors you can’t...
  7. 20,000 Mile Service

It is a lot “inspection”. The air filter can be easily changed behind glovebox. Technically you can perform any required services at home or at private mechanic and warranty would be intact. Just keep record of it somehow.
  8. Wireless CarPlay and Wired Charging Causes Phone to Lag / Freeze

Can work around it but just wondering if this is happening to anyone else? If it is a software bug in sync, maybe it can be fixed.
  9. Wireless CarPlay and Wired Charging Causes Phone to Lag / Freeze

I was wondering if anyone has encountered an issue with their iPhone when it is charging via the USB C or USB ports and connected to the Sync system via Wireless CarPlay. I have noticed that the phone starts to lags /slow down significantly over a time to where you can't type or use any apps...
  10. Tire suggestions

Thanks for the list. It would be helpful to know what the rolling resistance is for these to compare to the OEM tires and to gauge what the range reduction would be. It seems hard to find that data. The EV tires I see online for the stock 225/55/19 rims are Goodyear, Michelin, or Hankook EV...
  11. ICYMI: Mach-E Mobile Power Cord No Longer Included (Now $500 Option)

That’s a European thing where level 2 chargers don’t have cables. People carry their own cables. It’s just a convention they adapted but it prevents issues charging with damaged cables or plugs. The 220v outlets people have at home in Europe though prob can’t handle the amp needed to charge.
  12. ICYMI: Mach-E Mobile Power Cord No Longer Included (Now $500 Option)

Yes while 240v would be nice, but 120v is ok if you can charge for 24-48hrs over a weekend especially at night or when the car is just sitting there. You will get 1kw/hr so you might get 25-50% charge which may need enough to get back to go around locally. It is also cheaper and/or may some save...
  13. ICYMI: Mach-E Mobile Power Cord No Longer Included (Now $500 Option)

Tesla did the same thing a while back to save costs. I've used it a few times mostly when traveling to someone's home or camping.
  14. Charging Math Question

take battery size --> assume 88kwh extended 38/88=43% addded 80%-43%=37% starting
  15. GM Adopts Tesla NACS like Ford!

I think Tesla can get away with just having NACS and offering adapters on website to CCS users. They may not need to add magic docks everywhere or have as many out there to qualify for federal funding since now they can say NACS is a generic, common now that multiple car makers will use it. It...
  16. GM Adopts Tesla NACS like Ford!

There was pushback earlier from federal government when Tesla was claiming NACS was a national standard in terms of getting IRA federal funding for charging stations. I think Tesla will qualify for massive federal subsidies without widely having to add magic dock or CCS capabilities. The NACS...
  17. GM Adopts Tesla NACS like Ford!

If two major US automakers adopt NACS, the % of NACS cars will increase dramatically. Current CCS chargers will either have to provide NACS plugs or adapters to cater to the NACS vehicles. In their calculations, they probably assumed all new cars except Tesla would all use CCS. People can...
  18. GM Adopts Tesla NACS like Ford!

Looks like GM is following Ford's lead... https://electrek.co/2023/06/08/gm-announces-adopt-tesla-nacs-connector/
  19. TSB 21-2206 Vibration/Pulsation From Brakes - Brake Pad Material Stuck To Rotor

What about rotors and in reality with 1 pedal driving there shouldn’t be this “wear” so early on the pads and rotors. This is essentially due to design flaw in parts used in 2021 models
  20. TSB 21-2206 Vibration/Pulsation From Brakes - Brake Pad Material Stuck To Rotor

At 3500miles, I would expect them to change them under warranty. Just wondering what the experiences have been between the 12 month / 18k and the 3 yrs / 36k bumper to bumper
