The electric car goes 250 to 300 miles on '3 gallons of gas' (energy comparison). That's nice efficiency. My current SUV goes 325 miles on 15 gallons (that's poor efficiency). Even with the higher mass (weight), the EV uses less energy to move itself. Efficiency = Work Out/ Work In

Two points: 1. I think most of us will travel to find a receptive dealer. I don't fully trust my local dealer so have one reserved 35 miles away. 2. I'm wondering if all of the dealers were in the EV certified network of dealers. Just a thought.

Owned many Fords, even the 1st hybrid Escape. First EV. Very excited.

Worried about the dealer I picked (was closest). They had ADM on the first Hybrid Escape so I bought it at a different dealer. Might hedge my bet and also reserve another one with a trusted dealer. Not sure the X-plan can be used. If available, would the X plan 'kill' any ADM?

More than 2/3 of dealers in my area are Certified. The Preferred Dealer search shows some as 'Unavailable for Reservations'.

You need to contact the AXZ department (not sure if this is the current phone number 1-800-348-7709). You'll be asked to provide proof (6mo old broker statement and current one). They will provide a PIN, one per year. I just tried searching... not any official Ford website showing up.

Another X plan strategy is to own 100 Ford shares for at least 6 months.
