I’m really really hoping something is wrong. The speed of this car is the primary reason for me being interested in it. 100 mph trap speed would be…….unacceptable. My SS in ok conditions already runs a 12.6 at 111mph. I want instant torque and faster.
Looks great. Pretty much confirms to me that it’s identical to the old magnetic gray. My wife has a magnetic Ford Flex right now.
It’s always been my favorite mustang color.
Unfortunately it’s part of the game. The exact reason they wait until the end to pitch all the extras is exactly what you said….. you’ve already been there 2 hours.
They wait until you’re too tired to fight back and are just ready to get out of there and enjoy your new car.
The OP should be...
Just ask him which car of his runs on nitromethane.
You could also show him this:

Hopefully when they make the electric coupe version it’ll be sold alongside the ICE version, like they’re doing with the F150.
While it will likely out accelerate the GT, braking and handling will be a struggle with the added weight. Will be exciting to see what they do with it.
That’s what’s so interesting about the Mach E, half the people who buy it owned a Prius and the other half owned Mustangs.
Seems to be the same with other BEVs. Not sure what ludicrous or plaid mode have to do with saving the planet…… but it’s stinkin fun!
This is true, but they could have a better system to reduce anxiety.
People don’t like the unknown.
Long lines and waits but with systems in place that reduce anxiety:
At the DMV, Take a number and they have a sign that updates “now serving number X.”
At restaurants, give you a number and...
For FL SunPass have you tried the sticker? They’re only $5 and include $5 worth of tolls loaded, so not much lost if it doesn’t work.
That admin fee is ridiculous. When my SunPass doesn’t register in FL, the “toll by plate” just activates and charged my SunPass account.
They “misunderstood?”
BS
I’m glad it’s working out for you but that’s complete nonsense. What difference does it make if you ordered through the portal or direct through them? You have a agreement showing MSRP pricing.
That wouldn’t confuse even the slowest of morons.
Too small I think.
I see vehicles competing more in size, class and style than price.
The F150 electric loaded will cost $90k, but I don’t see it as a Model S competitor. At least not a direct competitor. Technically every car at a certain price indirectly competes.
Yes.
This car is more competitive with the Tesla Model 3 than The Mach E. Totally different class of vehicle.
I have no interest in a small sedan for my next car. And apparently Ford has no interest in making small sedans anymore. The sedan market is definitely shrinking.
Side note: I...
To answer your last question…. NEVER!!
Thinking of computer processing speeds, I wonder if the solution to speed is similar (multi-core processors).
Why not just multiple batteries that can charge at the same time?
Imagine a quad battery setup. Would take about 1/4 the time to charge them...
Can’t we keep it civil?
Why the need to hurl insults just because someone has an opposing opinion?
Just to be clear, unlike what people here seem to think, I’m not denying climate change. Nor am I suggesting we keep polluting unchecked.
I just don’t like some of the bigger government...
Seems like the studies on charging and battery longevity look like this-
Don’t run it too low.
Don’t charge it all the way.
Don’t charge it as fast.
Keep the temperature right (Goldilocks, not too hot, not too cold).
That said, none of them seem to make a huge difference in battery degradation...
Next step is Ford then. You have an agreed upon price, ordered the car, have a VIN assigned to you…….
The problem becomes when they sell your car to someone else tomorrow for a $4k ADM and then you are SOL because they’ll just say you declined the car.
Time is not on your side.
