Fordpass pulls data from specific charging networks, but if that data doesn't include user provided feedback like on plugshare, their is no guarantee it is accurate, even though in theory each charging network should know what it going on with their chargers. This occurrence seems like a fluke...
Dealers will still be able to set their own prices, either higher or lower than MSRP, but the difference is they have to be transparent about their price before you hit order, and can't change it once you hit order, the same as shopping for any other product online from multiple retailers (i.e...
If your fluids aren't low, it sounds like a problem with your HVAC system getting too cold somewhere, similar to how a home A/C evaporator can frost up if it doesn't get enough airlfow. Maybe check your cabin air filter isn't blocked with leaves or something. I believe you can access it behind...
I had a profile stuck on guest once after an OTA and it was resolved with by manually rsetting sync. No need to change or delete profiles. I also notice some settings reset after OTAs but it's not a big deal to go fix them.
Safest and code complaint option would be to hardwire the EVSE you already bought and just run and extra set of wires and put your 14-50 receptacle on a second breaker if you really want to have a back-up 14-50. Then there is no question about the safety/reliability of the transfer switch and...
I had a lot of problems with my Ford mobile charger in summer when my garage would be over 95F. I think it is the sensor in the plug making sure the reciprocal is not getting too hot as directing a fan at plug stopped the issue, but it is probably not safe long term solution.
It is also a good...
The CA Route 1 was originally created to have the highest advertised range, which I assume is achieved by originally being RWD, the 18" wheels, possibly more range optimized tires, and slightly lower weight with less features than the premium (manual liftgate, lower power stereo, etc.). However...
I drive exclusively in whisper and 1 pedal mode and it always lists battery SOC as percentage at the bottom left, regardless of driver aids, etc. I find whisper makes it easier to drive smooth (more linear response) and 1 pedal still gives full regen on lift-off. BTW whisper still gives you full...
I think the vision is people should be able to configure their cars online and after selecting a dealer immediately see a final price before placing an order, sort of like ordering our Mach E's but with much fewer steps and much more confidence/transparency that the price on website is what you...
Sounds like the problem is app has not pulled the latest status from the car. I often have to try to refresh the app several times or even try sending a lock/unlock command to get it say "updated just now or 1 min ago" before it will let me remote start or charge to 100%.
A much safer/cleaner option would be a 1-2kWh battery bank that you could use with the Ford mobile charger at 120V to get you a few more miles down the road, however, they are pretty expensive and heavy for a couple more miles of range. However, you would be better off just hypermiling (i.e...
LFP batteries are inherently cheaper and easier to ramp up production volumes (especially at newer, less experienced suppliers) just because they require less manufacturing precision/quality control to avoid small defects that can make other battery types more susceptible to thermal run-away...
You may need to cancel all your connected services in the Ford website under your account first such as plug and charge since they require the vehicle to be connected.
The only way to lower regen is to put the car in unbridled extend. That disables regen so your brakes are disspating heat instead of the powertrain. Of course you are then wasting all that potential energy instead of recouping it. Turning off one pedal just means you press the brake pedal more...
The recall notice specifically said the software update would add resistance monitoring, which will directly correlate to the contactors temperature and can be calculated by the current going through the contractor and the measured voltage drop.
