Talk to the dealer where you are going to order. When I asked my dealer, they said that they were not going to take any money from me until they had the vehicle to give me and I could test drive it. Evidently they believe there will be enough demand that they can quickly sell the vehicle if I...
I'm getting a little nervous about first model year. I guess we'll see how some of the earlier testers and FE people find their cars. I'm hoping to basically drive this one into the ground, so I definitely don't want to get stuck with something with constant issues like the early Model 3s.
Thanks for the review! I had been looking at these based on the CR reviews since I knew I would need something special for the Wisconsin winters on my RWD Mach-E. I wonder if they have the right size for the 19" Premium wheels?
That was part of the reason I am buying the Mach-E over the model Y, my nearest EV-certified Ford dealer is about 10 minutes away while my nearest Tesla service center is 1 hr+. Here's to hoping that the first models have minor quirks!
One caveat to that has been talked about on this forum pretty continuously. Ford has not told us what kind of buffer they are going to build into the battery, meaning that when our battery shows 100% charge, we don't know what percent of the physical capacity we are actually using. It's possible...
I had actually posted this question recently and been referred to an even earlier post that answers a lot of those questions: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/electric-car-charging-how-long-does-it-really-take.284/
Hope this helps!
I've never owned a Ford, I've had an old boxy Volvo and two Camry's. I've also never bought a new model in its first production year. For those with Fords and especially early adopters, how worried are you about getting the first Mach-E's to roll off the assembly line? Has Ford typically had...
Thanks! I updated the post. I wasn't really into either of the whites so looked them up quick on the Ford website to get the color name! I've really been wanting to see Infinite Blue or Carbonized Gray, as well as the light space grey interior. That was the only disappointing part about seeing...
I got a few pictures of the California Rt. 1 Edition in Space White at the Milwaukee Auto Show in Wisconsin over the weekend. They had the display blocked off so I couldn't get very close. Zooming in on the dash, I could see a 447 but couldn't tell if it's mi or km. Which may mean you get get...

I second that! I live in SE Wisconsin but would definitely like to make it to those areas at some point. According to Plugshare, there isn't even a level 2 charger in NE Wisconsin north of Steven's Point or in Michigan north of Grand Rapids. It seems like EA is sticking to main highway routes...
So the three "premium" colors: Rapid Red, Star White, and Infinite Blue have different descriptions of what they are: red and blue are metallic tinted clearcoat and the white is metallic tri-coat. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two as well as the "standard" paint?
Just wondering if there is anyone in the Detroit area that can comment on local coverage of the Mach-E? Just wondering how this EV is being received in Motorcity, especially since it's made in Mexico? I'm hoping they're better received than Teslas.
Living in Wisconsin (after moving from NY)...
Thanks for re-posting these. Maybe I can get my dealer to order both and let me pick one and use the other one as their test drive car. Wishful thinking, right?
Sorry, I just looked in this category and didn't see anything. I'll find another thread and put the link here so we don't have multiple threads on the same topics.
Sorry if this is a repeat but can some EV owners or those knowledgeable about the batteries share any advice on charging and general battery care for EVs? For instance, is it better to charge every night or wait until I get down to some percentage and do a bigger charge? Is DC fast charging...
