Tell Ford you want a higher spec car, I've had 2 HVJB and they tried to give me a Nissan Juke, I called them and said I wasn't happy, ended up with an Audi A5 and refunded fuel costs and a goodwill payment... give it a go
Well this takes me back to 2021 when we were all tracking the ships from Mexico with the first Mach E's on board... good times (I like to kid myself... the waiting and wondering...)
Just under 68k, have some decent journeys next few months so that'll increase, only problem is I have to swap out at 90K or 4 years old, so I won't be in the Mach E for more than another year, so in one way, I'm happy to keep the mileage low.
Stopped at Newark Services on the A1 yesterday, once at 0830hrs and again at 1630hrs, 12 Chargers at 180kw and both times it was just me! 79p or 74p with their App.. Poorly signposted on the A1 mind and long may that last....
After a trip to MK Dons on Boxing Day, decided to let the train take the strain and as it was yet another defeat, that worked out well! You are doing well on the mileage, I'm only at 67K... I must try harder! Hopefully I'll get another 10K on by end of Feb then should be up to 80K by April I reckon
There is that, but I've also had to wait for over an hour to get on a charger at Beaconsfield....worst services ever.. on a freezing January night, turning a 2 hour trip into a 4. Still love the EV though, if it was just short hops from home then I'd be laughing, it's the longer journey's that...
I can't get a smart meter at the mo, no signal apparently... otherwise I'd switch and get the cheaper rate. I've been a bit lazy when it comes to cost at chargers as 90% of those sessions I claim back through work, (worst was £1 a kwh at Shell). I know it's probably been all over these threads...
So yesterday, I had the pleasure of driving to Wrexham to watch my team, Colchester United play Wrexham... a 416 mile round trip. As I didn't want to spend time charging, I took my sons Diesel, used exactly half a tank for the journey at a cost of £48.
Now my maths isn't good but I worked out...
Try not to get a second hand Company car Mach-e, I have one and everyone I know who has one charges to 100% every time and also at over 66K miles in 2 and a half years, lots of DC fast charging. That and the fact that as its a company car no ones really bothered about how they drive, where they...
61K, been off the road quite a bit, but I've got a couple of months of long trips so should be hitting 70K in Jan/Feb. Saw your post re electric cost, hopefully they'll bring the cost of fast charging down, it was 35p KWH back in May 2021, around 70p now (some Shell ones are 85+p). Winter, when...
Just picked car up from Gates of Harlow, have to say, brilliant service from them. The HV is fixed, the loose light fitting fixed, software updated, fully charged and valeted like new...
I feel your pain, mines in with the HV malarkey...but, love the replacement Audi A5 Sportback S-Line....50 quid to fill up, 455 miles range... no charging shenanigans..... hope mines in for a while!!
Picked up the courtesy car today, as mine goes in tomorrow for a visit....hope it's a looooong one!
Audi A5 Sportback S-Line......very nice, they can keep mine for as long as they like!!! Got a trip up north this week, so excited not to have to think about charging....
New windscreen finally in, no Ford logo on this one.
So, some praise for Ford and the Dealer coming up (just to warn you!).
I contacted Gates Ford Harlow about the HV/Powertrain fault that's reappeared after about 3 weeks and sent them the PDF of the recall in America. They first arranged for...
I've had the HVBJB done back in 2022, had a warning pop up in Sep 23, HVB Warning & Powertrain malfunction (usual, vehicle may shut down without warning). Went in to get fixed Sep, 3 weeks later, warnings have popped up again, so maybe the part they replaced in 2022 has a fault?
Screen getting...
Anyone had any issues with the rear indicator light cluster, the piece on the actual boot? My left one is loose at the pointy end, pulls off about an inch and half, still works.
Edit - just found this thread on this issue, never noticed it before...
Yep, mine was in for 5 weeks, had a Kia hire car, they refunded the total cost of the fuel and a goodwill payment on top, I ended up with over £700. Dealer wasn't interested so had to go through [email protected] they were excellent to be fair.
