Update: My MME phase is over. š¢ Mixed feelings in the family for sure, and if there wasn't that troublesome DCFC desert known as Mississippi I really think my wife would have kept Mockey over her Lexus. Being EV-only & travelling from Birmingham just doesn't quite make sense yet so we kept the...
Gonna be selling mine soon and got a similar offer, $57k+, 21 premium 4x w/23k miles. Sheāll be gone as soon as my Rivian delivery is final. Never guessed my name would get pulled on a Rivian before Ford would consider allowing me to order a Lightning š¤·āāļø
Similar timeframe, mine has never consistently worked. It often opens, almost never closes even though I just opened it seconds before. I use PAAK exclusively though.
PAAK is awfully convenient but it is the source of most minor frustrations with an otherwise pretty great vehicle. Just rolled...
I find the frunk very useful even if Ford wonāt let us early adopters have a meaningful way to open it. Especially since the stupid foot action with the hatch has proven completely unreliable.
Starting to look like my answer to the thread title is āsome time after I turn the Mach E in for a...
I was one of the louder voices complaining about the crappy brakes. Originally impossible to low-speed modulate to a stop. My hat is off to you if you mastered that behavior. ;) I had a easier time managing my road racing cars with cold brakes than the MME.
2.4.2 didnāt seem to affect brake...
i havenāt experienced anything post-2.4.2 that would point to it being to blame for something like this. Or a earthchanging difference after the update anyway. Behavior is now more normal rather than the terrible grabby brake action we were originally subjected to.
One other thought on our trip...it further confirmed the Ford nav software is not very good at EV routing, at least for my use so far in the Southeast. Apple, Google, ABRP all gave one result with Apple & ABRP planning consistent charge stops. Ford consistently wanted us to go well out of the...
tl;dr version: 1100 miles, no issues, charging no big deal, Mach E is a pretty good road trip car, got to drive a Rivian. š
After 2.5 years of EV ownership my wife & I just completed our first extended road trip in one with a ~1100 mile road trip to Charleston. Super easy trip and the charge...
Thanks for the good report. We just rolled over 21k on ours with an 1100 mile road trip. No "real" issues. By far my biggest complaints are all stupid choices on Ford's part: no external frunk access, compounding the skinny tire choice by using terrible Michelins, and terrible brake pad...
So I got 2.8.2 yesterday as well, apparently while driving from Charleston to Atlanta. During that trip BC would frequently and inexplicably disengage, so much so it was near useless. After arriving in Atlanta I got notification about 2.8.2 installation. No idea if itās because of this update...
Today we used the last of my included 250kWh on EA. Ford still doesnāt link P&C to our existing EA accounts, correct? If so P&C officially turned off since there is no longer any use for it.
How wide are your Enkeis? 245 is a bit wide for the narrow 7" wide stock wheel size. If you went wider with the wheels then I would use the wider tire for sure.
Right, it fetches the charge level from the last time it connected to the car, but you cannot change that if you want to do trip planning assuming you'll start with a full charge. Which is what I would be doing for any significant trip. ABRP still rules for that.
It seems to work okay while driving but isnāt good for trip planning without the ability to set the starting charge level. ABRP still looks to be the best tool for that.
I prefer Google Maps for nav over Apple but it doesnāt have a similar EV feature yet.
"rebrand" = "take the existing design, throw it out, and come up with a design that was evocative of the Mustang in terms of performance and styling."
as opposed to "re-badge", which would be taking Mustang badges and just slapping them on an electric Focus or Edge.
