This is really strange. I spent NYE 2021-22 in northern MN in -10ÂşF-0ÂşF temps with very few L2 options, mostly L1 to have enough to get by. Goal on the drive home was to make it to the DCFC about 50 miles away. I had no problems maintaining speed and acceleration well below 10% (I think we...
Thanks! I'll need to test this out next time I charge—is that from the charge screen/status itself or in Home > Settings for you? I might be pending an app update as well.
This thread is making me wonder if I should decrease my amperage. I have a Chargepoint Home Flex on a 60A circuit set to pull 50A, but I don't necessarily need that power and would like to avoid wear and tear—heat is an issue here as well but not to the point it would increase A/C bills given...
Good call— you're 100% right and I was mistakenly reading it incorrectly as July 2023 instead of what it actually says, 2024. I will try to be more detail-oriented in the future!
So has anyone renewed their BOCN? Mine is about to expire in a few weeks and I'm not sure if it's going to auto-renew or if I should cancel before that happens. I'll be doing a 1500 mile road trip so not sure if I should renew BOCN or get an EA pass+.
Doing a 1500 mile trip again in a few weeks. I was fine last year without a Tesla adapter, so I probably won't get one, but are folks still recommending the Tesla Tap? And if so, what model/version? Can't figure out how many magic docks there are but seems like not too many at this point.
I don't necessarily disagree with this L1 charger piece if you don't drive much (say 10-20 miles/day), but I'm also in Minnesota and very cold days can drain you from 90% to 60% pretty easily, more if you drive more than 30 miles a day. On those colder days (0s or sub-zero temps) I usually don't...
Still fimbulwinter here in MN so I'll be able to test this out over the next week or two. It won't be as cold as Jan/Feb but on longer drives at highway speeds, I often need to toggle between auto heat around 63/64Âş and max defrost every 5-10 minutes to clear out humidity (happens more often...
Turns out that the body shop I had some collision work done in Jan put the front shutter sensors in the wrong spots (right in left and vice versa), so they didn't "click in" properly. They swapped them out at the dealership in short order and didn't need any replacement parts!
Mine's the same. Rates may go down again by the time my 4 year options lease is up, but either way I will only have about 2 years at current payments to pay the rest off.
If a gen 2 Mach-E (or US version of Explorer) comes out by the time my Options lease expires in Aug 2025, I'll probably...
I think it's also worth thinking about efficiency in terms of one's own body. In my case, I have a bit of arthritis from a broken ankle 10+ years ago and 1PD+Unbridled is really a godsend for me. When my MME was in the shop and our loaner was an ICE F-150, I really felt the difference, even on...
Got a little too close to a snowbank backing out of my garage and got some snow on the sensor that's part of the shutter assembly. Pre-crash assist said it was unavailable. No big deal, I got to my destination and wipe off the snow. In the process I pushed in the parking aid sensor. Any idea if...
I saw your other post in the 1.7.1 stuck thread. IMO I would still be happy being stuck on 1.7.1 rather than driving something other than my Mach-E on a permanent basis, but I recognize that everyone's situation is different. You might want to try a different dealership if that's an option for...
After a few months of waiting, the OTA updates are rolling along nicely! I think I'm more or less fully up to date now.
Just wanted to post in case others are losing hope. Once I got 3.6.2, the updates started coming in hot and heavy.

Quick update on this, we did indeed drive it and it was fine—much better than the Nissan Kicks that was our rental option. We had just had a snowstorm here and I returned the Kicks after 24 hours.
Total repair bill came in at just under $5k since they had to do a headlight...
Had a similar issue, in my case not caused by running into stuff but someone running a red light and hitting the car in front of mine, which spun out and hit ours. Damage looked fairly minimal to me. There was a small hole puncture in part of the front assembly, but they ended up having to...
