I think it's a GM design quirk. The Buick Electra E5 has a similar implementation.

Surprisingly the Optiq is 4" longer than the Mach E. So it's a closer Mach E competitor than I previously thought. Charging speed needs to improve, I think it's around 150 kW which might have been competitive with the pre-refresh Mach E.

New exterior/interior photos. That floating arm rest/console looks strange. Otherwise, it's similar to the Lyriq's interior but I like that it has more blue accent colors.

My guess is Hyundai ditched the full-width bumper taillight on the concept and is instead using Escalade-style vertical taillights.

Yeah, go Ford! The range + acceleration improvements must be due to the new rear e-Motor which is installed on all the trim levels. If only it had a heat pump too.
