That to me was the major drawback with the MME, the inability to access the car or frunk release without a portable jumper; keeping it in the car does you no good. Virtually every other car lets you use a manual key for access, but not this one. It also means anyone with a jumper has access to...
This happens more than you think with a lot of EV's. Odds are the 12V battery isn't really dead. Jump start it (if you don't have a portable jump starter get one), start the car. There's a good chance everything resets and is fine after that.
A lot of us are in the Boomer generation, only so many 3 year periods left. I guess that increases the urgency to upgrade as fast as possible. That's not the only urgency we have to react fast for...
I just want to point out to you that I was very careful to not dis the Mach e, and I know full well that Hyundai, like all car companies, have certainly had issues. Ford's EV is in it's "learning curve" stage just like Hyundai went through in the past and I'm sure the necessary adjustments will...
I ordered a Mach e in April 2021. After better than a year of no production date, 4 price increases, unwanted color change and innumerable tales of woe on this forum I decided to cancel the order. Since I've been driving a Hyundai Kona EV (I'm on my 2nd) since 2019 for over 30,000 trouble free...
No, it's on top of the 2022 increase, that email came last September. Grand total increase is $4500. This one's the last straw, after 11 months I'm giving up and cancelling.
My MSRP went up $1,000, options up $1,000. I started a thread on this but it was immediately locked against further comments. Now I don't see it at all.
Just received an email from Ford, "Your vehicle order has been updated..."
Oh. Good. After almost a full year since ordering the Premium AWD LR and a hefty price increase with the conversion from 2021 to 2022 model, I assumed a production date was finally established. I immediately checked my...
This sums up why I decided to buy, not lease, my next EV. At my age keeping a car 8-10 years (or minimum 3 via lease) means that may be my last car. When it comes to technology I want the latest and greatest life has to offer as long as I'm able to drive, and if it means trading the car in...
Thanks for posting. How would you rate the back seat space? I have a Kona EV which is basically a 2-seater and need a car suitable for carrying 2 couples, one of the reasons I ordered a MME almost a year ago (about to give up on that). I'm seriously considering the I5 but haven't been able to...
