I've had no response on my @Ford Motor Company BEV case at all since the initial contact with the case number. The dealer had me not come in, since they would not have been able to do anything with the car, so now I am in limbo.
I've embarrassingly recommended this vehicle to two colleagues...
I just got a call from the dealer (Pacifico Marple) about my appointment scheduled for tomorrow. Thankfully, they appear to read what owners write in requests for service and wanted to get more info before I came in.
As wholly expected, they can't actually service it tomorrow since they don't...
I am still driving it, though gently and as little as possible. Also, it's clear it's in some limited mode, because even if I do hit the pedal a little hard, it doesn't respond like it did pre-fault.
I got hit with the faults on Sunday. The first dealer I called also said 9/19 to diagnose. I picked a different one and will be in 9/8.
I did contact Ford here and a case has been opened. We'll see if that helps.
I got these “Electric Powertrain Fault” and “Powertrain System Fault” alerts yesterday while passing on I-476 in PA. Premium AWD, ~12.2k miles. I had gotten an update related to the contactor issue a few weeks ago and another update on 9/3.
Any advice, or does this just end up as, “take it to...
Sticking with Allstate, my MME would have been hundreds more a year than the 2017 XC90 I was replacing. I switched to Progressive, which instead was a few hundred less than I'd been paying for the XC90.
I got back to Philly today and had DCFC success with a short morning charge at a 50kW EVGo -and- success with an afternoon charge at a 150kW Electrify America charger that worked using Plug & Charge and gave me about 4 miles per minute. I am wondering if I got some OTA goodness over the past few...
I went to Lowes and found some plastic plugs that are fine for now to fill the bumper holes from the removed front plate bracket. I may get another set and paint them gloss black, but honestly the matte black looks fine as-is.

Good idea. I need to have it inspected since I bought it in a different state, so I will ask them to do updates, too. (You’d think they’d do those before delivery, but I suspect they did not.)
Do you recall anything they did in particular that addressed your DCFC issue?
Hi, @Ford Motor Company,
I need to share my awful new-buyer experience with CCS charging.
May 26: Got the call from the dealer that the car arrived. I arrived a few hours later. After the absurdly slow finance processing, the car was handed over with only 140 miles of range. I headed straight...
I simply pulled mine off, too, and had no issues. Just be sure to be pushing back on the bumper plastic as you are pulling outward slowly on the plate holder. Do one snap at a time, slowly, and don't let the other side of the holder dig into the bumper. My plastic rivets stretched out and...
My April 17 production, April 30 shipment, arrived yesterday with the front plate hold already installed. I'll be removing, since I live in PA. Shadow Black... time to figure out a plug solution.
My April 17 production, April 30 shipment, May 17 Kansas City, MO rail delivery, June 10 ETA, MME Premium AWD Extended, which I located on Ford.com as incoming stock and put a deposit on on May 8, arrived to the dealer in South New Jersey May 26. I picked it up within hours.
It looks great...
My MME Premium AWD Extended just made appearance in Palsapp as being delivered yesterday (5/17/2021) to Birmingham, MO.
Any insight on how long from there to a dealer in southern NJ?

Now I understand what you were getting at. Here, though, the house is primarily forced air. This is a one-off electric baseboard on what appears to be its own dedicated circuit.
However, I take your point and that would be the -first- thing I would confirm with an electrician before...
Right. I do just enough driving that the "3 miles/hr" replenishment from 120V won't be quite enough on an annoying number of occasions, but if I could just get 2-3x that with 240V / 16A, I'd almost always be fine and reduce the need to top off at a public charger to a few times a year.
My plan...
Thanks. I hadn't thought about an underground run... a new box and new run would let me do a 14-50 or hardwire and have higher current, so it might be worth the hassle and cost.
The problems, though, are that the box is full, so I think that would need a new box, and I'm also in a condo, so...
