Former hardware engineer here: I've created battery chargers for li-ion batteries at the very small scale as well as NH batteries.
At least for the small batteries, charging is usually a constant current source and stopped when the voltage gets to a certain point (or when the calculated current...
I see, well, a lot of folks in the EV6 GT forum are as baffled as you are with regards to tire choice. Kia really went all out on upgrading the GT to a true performance car... and then put on Eagle F1 Asyms 3.
I honestly don't know if that is good or bad :D
Motor Trend mentioned this here: https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2023-kia-ev6-gt-first-test-review/
Essentially the MME and Tesla have different tires than the Kia EV6 GT in the states.
The EV6 GT's top speed is 160MPH+, vastly higher than the MME GTPE's, and maybe that influenced the...
As an owner of an EV6 GT, I highly disagree in the 'temp mgt.' thing; I haven't bothered with it at all - actually haven't even found it or been prompted for it... I just push 'GT' mode and an immense amount of power is available RIGHT NOW.
Go test drive one, try for yourself and be prepared!
I think the problem is that when you slap the name "Mustang" on a car, it denotes high performance. Then, if you add GT, and on top of that, "Performance", you are signaling extreme performance to people who trust the Mustang brand.
If they had just called it the "Ford Mach-E", then all would...
I was super excited about the mach-e gt when first announced, I placed an order for one, it came in last December. I was about to drive to pick it up when I started seeing the YT videos on how 'slow' it was, and one video said it 'was the slowest performance EV ever tested'... ouch. I wish I...
My 2022 mach-e GT PE was changed to Space White Metallic from iconic silver. I am super excited about this as Space White looks so much better and more modern to me.
CANT WAIT
GTPE is my first choice. The suspension upgrade alone is worth it.
And we are still polluting; maybe not nearly as much 'local' emission, but there is still a massive amount of 'pollution' in the form of toxic chemicals, waste material, waste heat that go into the production of ANY vehicle...
Well, at least your car has 'shipped'. :)
Even though Ford communication has been terrible, they have finally sent an email giving a product date and VIN!
And now all of the sudden, I'm getting lots of communication. Not sure what's going on, but I'll take over communication with nothing...
There should be a thread for grumpy people who ordered the top of the line at max price with zero communication from the company.
And then another grumpy thread for those apologists who keep apologizing for Ford and making excused.
Isn't this thread about mach-e-gts having been ordered and reaching kansas city?
Seems pretty relevant to me as I ordered a mach-e gtpe.
Not sure where you are getting 'whining' about *my* order status, I'm concerned that large company like Ford can't get an order status system working like...
Yup, I realize that which is why I said above I'm neither concerned nor worried.
I am just baffled that a company with such premium products at high prices would not be able to communicate *anything* or offer up any semi-approximate order status to those that ordered such products... regardless...
Never said they need to call every two weeks; an automated email would be fine. They should know how many vehicles, approx., that are in front being built or not.
I mean, it's basic order status that every large company does, supply chain problems or not.
Actually, I'm not expecting a date, per se, but rather _communication_ from a company you placed an order with.
They need to send UPDATES to customers, with something like this:
"Thank you for ordering our top-of-the-line Mach E. We're busy getting your order ready; there are 433 orders in...
Early May this year. Order number 108* GTPE
Not concerned or worried, just unbelievable a company would almost ignore customers ordering these premium vehicles. Maybe it's me, guess I have different standards, not sure.
