Exactly same thing happened to the me on a rental Hyundai in Honolulu. Scary as hell. Luckily I was very close to my hotel and drove back to the hotel parking lot. It turned out to be a malfunction in the ABS pump system in my case. Good luck.

I shared my experience in another thread. Whenever there is a change in temperature while driving the roof seems to make this creaking noise like its about to crack up. Scary sometimes.

I deleted all the keys from the app first, then uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, installed the app again, downloaded the keys and it worked fine. Just reinstalling the app did not work for me. Thanks.
