My EV road tripping days are on pause for now. I did not have the patience and optimism due to a few bad experiences. Perhaps it was because the Northeast infrastructure is just not adequate or because my kids were just too excited to get to our destination but maybe as a second vehicle someday...
Wouldn't it be true to say that most things "made in America" end up costing more? So if manufacturing is being ramped up to build batteries in America, won't the extra tax credits be moot or even negative if the cost of production is increased?
Still waiting for that OTA that will add an extended battery pack under the back seats and also, and more realistic, the goddamn frunk button next to the trunk button for heavens sake already. Job 1 early adapter struggles
Hi Mike,
Could you please run mine?
VIN# 3FMTK3SS5MMA24865
This is one of the originals and I have never taken it to the dealer, not even for the recalls
THANK YOU!
Just fixed my passenger rear door trim which also had this for almost a year now. Rubbing compound and polishing compound saved the day.
My guess is the touchless car wash chemicals reaction to whatever residue might have been on the plastic. Also noticed some hairline cracks in...
I have a Job 1 and finally got bluecruise going after 1 full year of ownership. Are you saying that remote frunk opening is also something I will have to wait or never get to enjoy too? This whole early adopter simply just sucks!
I feel like I am back in the same boat when I "early adopted' my 2014 cadillac cts. The Cadillac CUE system was touted as being "Future Proof" and will have updates to keep it up with the times...Then...
I can say with 100% confidence that I purchased the MME over the Model Y solely for the tax credit availability. That's almost 15% discount off MSRP if you have at least 7500 in tax liability.
I financed using Ford Options for the additional discount and will see what the resale value is in 2.5...
If all goes to plan, I should be at $120 all in if it works this afternoon.
Finalizing the deal with my local dealer was painful and they also gave me the highest price quote to program the fob (1 hour shop rate). I just don't have it in me to fight them anymore and try to demand a second key...
Tesla should just start manufacturing the the base platforms (frame, drivetrain) and let other manufacturers develop the body, interior and suspension, etc.
The protocol for EVs in a stoplight challenge is the aggressively activate the windshield wipers to maximum speed but in a sequence of 1 pass...stop...2 passes...stop then a final 3 passes to show that you mean business. This is our revving ritual ?
I will find out today at my service appointment. Says it was from a 2018 explorer and the main reason I chose it was because it had the ford logo so my wife and I can easily grab the right key programmed to our profile. She is barely 5'2" and I'm 6' so our seat memory is pretty different ?
I was told by the dealer who is charging $59.50 to bring both keys because when they reprogram, all keys must be present to be linked to the car. Seems they erase all keys then add them back all at once.
