    Need MORE entertainment capabilities

I'm too busy stretching my legs, finding the bathroom, and checking my phone to sit and watch anything in the car. Between two 2-hour drive legs, I gotta get out for a while. By the time I check in on Plugshare, check email, X, txt msgs, Ring cameras at home... the car is done.

    Next car after Mach-E

No way to know yet, as it's years off. But of the known EVs at this point, the Rivian R2 would top my list if it turns out to be as good as it looks. Love the size, shape, and look, in a similar price range to the Mach-E. We love our Mach-E, but a little taller/bigger would be even better. And...

Tesla Supercharger network now up to 53 locations with Magic Dock (2/22/24)

I count 55 stations (sites). 564 chargers (stalls). Semantics, but pretty sure the vast majority of people consider "station" to be the site, like a gas station.

    6.14.0 Software Update just installed

Ah, I see that now. Cool, that brings a little back. Although still a bit different than the old display that showed distance to the next turn. This looks like distance to the end destination.

    6.14.0 Software Update just installed

The distance/exit# used to always show up on the IPC when using AA (pic below) until that update a few months back that a lot of people complained about moving the speed off to the side. Now the AA direction only shows up on the IPC for a split second when setting the destination, and then...

Exciting New Way to Leave Feedback for Ford!

Hopefully the mods change the deceptive name of this thread. (Or just delete it.)

    6.14.0 Software Update just installed

Be nice if they restored some of the lost data to the tiles with this update, like Artist Name on the radio/SXM tile (2nd line under Song Title), Distance on the Trip tile, etc. Not holding my breath though.

Tesla vs Electrify America vs EVgo - Plug & Charge test! Who's fastest?

California, I assume. Seems to be the most common place for bad EA stations. The few we've used there have been fine but 97% of our EA charges have been outside of CA with *mostly* good results.

NACS Extension Cable Coming From Tesla

I think the "retrofit" of V2s and V3s is likely to be replacement with V4s. But it'll take years. I'm hoping replacement of the V2's comes first. We can't use those at all, regardless of any cable length inconvenience.

Goodwill Program Information: High Voltage Battery Junction Box (23S56)

I stopped using the charging pad in the car and just plug in all the time now because it wouldn't charge fast enough to keep up with Android Auto's power drain. On a road trip, I'd have less charge than I started with using the pad. Plus the phone got a lot hotter.

Goodwill Program Information: High Voltage Battery Junction Box (23S56)

I think I'm in that boat. I thought I remember seeing my recall a few months ago when first mentioned but couldn't find it since. My HVBJB failure was in late 2022. Be nice to get the newest part. I think I have the in-between one (C instead of E, I think).

NACS Extension Cable Coming From Tesla

I think you're confusing "shot themselves in the foot" with making a conscious priority choice that paid off extremely well for them. They prioritized getting a cost-efficient widespread DCFC network built as fast as possible to help sell and charge their own vehicles. Which they later had the...

NACS Extension Cable Coming From Tesla

Exactly. They did what no one else could come close to: got the costs way down and succeeded in making DCFC profitable rather than the money pit it is for all the rest. They did so by optimizing for it's intended customer base (Tesla vehicles). That was a big part of how they got the costs...

Lightning & Trailer Road Trip with J3400/NACS-adapter

Yeah but I know that can be slow to update at times. At least for SOC, so I assume the power level too. I wonder if it still shows the kW if the session was started via the Tesla app instead (to get the Tesla membership discount)?

Lightning & Trailer Road Trip with J3400/NACS-adapter

Great report, Mark! Hopefully the lack of screens on Tesla chargers ratchets up the pressure on Ford to add the current charging power (kW) inside the vehicle on the driver display or Sync screen.

    Plug and charge is awesome

Depends on what your home rate is. Gotta check your monthly electric bill for that. Varies greatly around the country. My home rate (in CO) is $0.10/kWh, so 42 kWh would be $4.20. Home rates are usually WAY cheaper than DCFC rates (they have to pay for all that expensive equipment...

    Plug and charge is awesome

The idea I've been floating as a "wishlist" for BOCN would be a very simple-to-implement discount plan in the form of a monthly rebate/credit to our accounts. Instead of what's surely a far more complicated task of trying to change the price at the charger, simply let us pay the normal rates...
