The problem with using the "butt-o-meter" is that is not a reliable measuring tool.
There is typically no objective measurements in blog/magazine articles. Lots of pressure from advertisers and the placebo effect.
I hope so. I typically am behind the tech curve because I am to frugal to buy a brand new car. Good value in a car that is ~3 years old. I'm driving a 2018 Chevy Volt PHEV now. Its a nice upgrade for myself. Last car was a 2000 Honda Insight Hybrid -- classic hybrid. ;)
If a for profit takes advantage of a government incentive, does that company deserve criticism or does the government? Don't hate the player. Hate the game. haha
Tesla crated a connector that does AC and DC fast charging up to ~300 kW now in one slim connector.
The design of the CCS works but it's an industrial design fail. Way to hamstring EVs SAE. ?
Any mad scientists add additional charger to the MME to increase AC charge rate? :p
I know that 11.5 kW is powerful, but it sounds like people are installing thick wires that would handle more than that.
This sounds like crazy talk, but Zero Motorcycle owners have been doing this to 1C...
I think calling a EVSEs a charger is a bit of a misnomer because the hardware that does the charging is in the car. DC Fast Chargers being the exception.
The places that sell ESVEs add confusion by calling them chargers also.
ESVE's are just an extension cord with safety features wether...
I agree that image and styling is very important for car purchase. Styling is also a very personal choice.
I don't know what % of buyers care about efficiency, but I would like to see the data on it.
There are some real vehicle limitations when it comes to efficiency. If one is trying to...
What a interesting discussion we have here. :)
I will second what others have said about Tesla regulatory credits: They are no secret. They are plain as day on the quarterly earnings report. This is old criticism from years ago.
The regulatory EV credits are basically other companies...
The Mach-E is a real winner and I am glad Ford was bold enough to redirect "Team Edison" to make a compelling industry leading EV.
While, not enough supply is a good problem to have, it appears that Ford has made a serious planning mistake for Mach-E
It looks like the best production rate is...
