One thing I noticed about our Tesla MYLR is the vampire drain. I have sentry mode, cabin temp protection and whatnot turned off but sometimes at work it will chew through 5-8% in the parking lot. Other days it is fine. Havenāt been able to nail it down. Our MME is very good in this department...
My ā21 was stuck in update purgatory for a super long time on 2.7.x. The past two months Iāve gotten a ton and am up to 4.2.1 as of May 8th. Seems they unstuck whatever the problem was and are playing catch up now. Thereās hope!
From a technical perspective we could easily solve this by eliminating the gas tax and then taxing all vehicles based on weight*miles driven. Submit odometer readings yearly to get your bill and new tags. Too bad it is a political kerfuffle š¬
2021 J1, and I just got my first OTAs in months!
2.8.1 landed on Sunday. Yesterday I got 22-PU0727-VI-FXB which told me BC is finally enabled!
I went out to try it and got BC not available and driver monitor camera not available faults. Now I donāt even have auto lane-keep in cruise control...
Iāve been running FormulaOne Pinnacle (Llumar) for almost two years. Held up flawlessly. 30% front/5% rear. Getting a reputable installer helps tremendously in long-term durability.
I agree with OPās list. I recently picked up a MY and it just works. Kind of like the Prius comments - not the prettiest but I donāt worry about anything.
The MME will be in my garage for at least a few more years, but every time I get in the MY I am reminded of the 8 dealer visits Iāve had...
For anyone that cares for purposes of making the tax credit by March - we ordered on Fri Jan 13 and the delivery date to our house is Fri Jan 20. Plenty of inventory.
Would they let you charge at their residence with the mobile charger? Maybe barter with some baked goods/beers/money as appropriate? Might be enough to tide you over even at L1, unless youāre doing a day trip.
We just bought a MY LR. It will replace our ICE mustang so we have a second family-capable car alongside the MME. Prior to the price drop we were considering another Ford BEV (Lightning) or PHEV but this deal is a no-brainer.
Yeah, we have a white noise machine that works well. Uses much less power than our 1200W vacuum too! For some reason though, the MME beeps just cut through it for the little guy.
Yes, but a problem/trap for someone in the future that tries a 50A/42A continuous load on the 14-50, trips the 40A breaker, replaces with the expected 50A breaker, and fries the 8 AWG.
