Next Janaury I expect to store my car for over 30 days- and want to avoid disconnecting the 12v battery- as Ford recommends.. If I set the car up for short term- 2 weeks or less, can I have a friend - a neighbor- visit the car after 2 weeks, plug the car back into the charger overnight,(Ford...
https://www.thedrive.com/news/public-ev-charging-still-sucks-but-ford-is-working-to-fix-it ....is the web address for thedrive.com. I am surprised that there is no categogy on this forum specifically on roadside charging. Granted that for EV owners almost 90 % is done at home. But we should have...
I may have discovered another reason for failure to connect. At my home I could not connect, but my neighbor, who also has Verizon Fios gave me his password, and using his different router, I was able to connect at his home. So I bought the same router for my home, and it connected! The TP-Link...

Hi Tony: Not really misleading. I feel it is a legitimate attention getter. It got your attention 2 minutes after I posted it.
Thanks for your thought anyway.

Here is a link on long term storage from Ford:: How does Ford expect us to do that without removing frunk panels and discoonecting a battery that does not have a quick disconnected feature. If the link does not work-do a web search for

In addition to the location data provided by FordPass app and Electrify America app, the DOE of the US Government publishes a great app that lists data from Gov. data from the Dept of Energy. It lists a huge list including those charging stations at non Ford dealers that are open to the public...
I appled for the rebate- got an answer that they are not- at this time- offering a rebate of $300.00 over 3 years. Not clear when- or if- it will be restarted.
I have read a bit about battery fires, and , while rare, are hard to put out, especially if the car is parked in your garage. GM is even telling Volt owners to never park in a garage under certain circumstances. Since I have a central alarm system, I checked on the sensors now in my garage...
For my whole house standby generator I installed a battery warmer. I see a similar device on sale on amazon called zerostart 2800055 battery blanket for $46.98. Would this work.? 120volt at 50 watts. Obviously will not work on the road, but if a parked car is near 120 volts, it could work. Just...
I posted all this information months ago, along with pictures, and a link to the pdf towing guide. I printed the guide, and it is in my car now. Search for posts by DSSDMD AND TOWING TO SEE IT ALL. i BOUGHT 2 T HOOKS FOR TOWING, BUT THEY DO NOT FIT IN THE HOLES. i JUST ORDERED SOME J HOOKS-...
I have had my Mach E premium AWD Extended for a week now, and generally happy. I have a Chargepoint 60 amp charger in the garage, and rarely expect to need public charging stations. Most of my driving will be local, and under 50 miles a day. I set the car to charge no more than 80%. I know...
I went with a Michelin Alpin Pilot 5 SUV. Pricy, but highly rated, except cost less at at Costco, with a sale. Loose tire not a great idea. I am signed with AAA, and my USAA insurance includes roadside. Safer than a loose tire. and between them I feel OK for changing a tire.
Also note that if one tire goes bad, with some tread wear, Tire Rack will shave the new tire to match tread wear. Cost $25.00 and adds a day or more to shipment.
Sadly, tow hooks are not supplied by the car makers for owners. It is up to the tow companies to supply tow hooks. However, for $20.00 I will feel better having my own, after I check them in the hole first.
