yeah, the extended ford warranty showed up in my ford pass app within a few days of purchase. definitely would go back to where you purchased it.
but as others have said, the HVBJB should be covered even without the extended warranty due to the recall.
wouldn't say these are common issues... i haven't had these in particular and mine's a job1.
but it's under warranty so take it to the dealer and get it all taken care of.
i just called the 800#, got the pay off amount, and had my wife bank transfer the amount approximately 2 weeks out from the end of the options loan.
got the title in the mail a week or two later. a few weeks after that, got a $6 check for the over pay (i guess since we paid a few days early).
dang, i just bought up my 2021 options premium rwd std....had these price cuts/lease/cash deals been in affect a month ago, i probably would've traded it in for a 2024 premium rwd extended. oh well.
i agree.
looking forward to what ford has cooked up in it's next compact/mid-size EV platform.
the mach-e was adapted to fit, it sounds like, more compliance-type car platform, so less performance oriented. the designers did their best (and looks-wise, did a pretty awesome job), but the...
i was just in the same boat more or less.
in general, i don't usually buy extended warranties, but had just gone through a HVBJ replacement under warranty (this was a few months before the recall) so thought getting an extended warranty might be good, not being 100% sure it would be part of...
i've done LA to SF and back with my std range mach-e.
and while the actual drive (bluecruise, quiet ride) is nice compared to ICE, and charging was doable (EA stops 3x in each direction), i am used do doing the same drive with 1 stop with the ICE that's 15-20min tops (i eat fast). so...
paying the balloon/pay off amount this week to ford credit on my job1 ($21k). it's been a solid car. none of the alternatives out there really attract me.... will be a good hand me-down car for one of my teenagers in a few years.
i'll admit maybe i'm of that age (approaching 50) but i'm not wanting change for the sake of change...
the whole, "you'll just get used to it" is fine if there's a significant positive trade off but i don't feel that's true with many of the "innovations" by tesla. and other features (rear...
agree with the other comments... i'd verify before spending the $$$.
a few years ago, for my previous car, my volvo dealer wanted new rotors/pads all around for like $2000. took it to my trusted local tire/brake place and they said i just needed the pads sanded down and had another 15-20k...
i did the LA-SF road trip a few months back with the mach-e. non-holiday weekend and never had to wait more than 10-15min and that was once. but frequently of the 4 EA chargers, 1 was a L2, and 1 of the DC fast chargers was broken, leaving just 2 working. best strategy was hitting up chargers...
i've had my mach-e compared or mistaken for both a porsche or jaguar, both compliments in my book. to me, i know i love a car when i smile every time i walk up to it
i had my 2021 premium SR RWD hvbjb replaced 2-3months ago (@34k miles). so it does happen. i did floor the car quite a few times especially early on because all that torque and whipping the rear end around on those skinny stock tires was so fun.
hopefully i got the newer, more robust part...
one of my favorites and unique to ford is the door panel keypad. i run, so it's nice to be able to leave key/phone in the car and not have to carry them on runs. and with the mach-e you can use it to open the frunk as well.
no other manufacturer seems to include this feature and i'm glad ford...
used ford options 3yr/36k on my 2021 job1 premium rwd. and coming up on 36k im deciding to keep it. other than 1 hvjb it's been a good car. and whereas we got ford bonus, ca and federal rebates last time, this go around those are gone (for my income) and prices of similar mach-e/EVs in general...
my mach-e was coming up on 36,000 miles so i bought my 8/100k extended warranty from granger since i plan to keep the car. i don't normally buy warranties but even with the likelihood of another hvjb failure being covered under the factory warranty, in case other stuff fails (the 15" display...
