I dropped my car off today and asked for this specific version of sync. the dealership guy said “we cant do updates based on internet advice”, but they still gonna do updates. Hope its a more recent version.

I had a chat with Ford about getting these OTA updates before we encounter the issues. I was told the whole downhill problem is only for vehicles built before June 2021. My car was build on June 1st and I am covered apparently. However, they still wanted me to stop by a dealership to be sure.

I am planning on taking a similar trip. Can ford dealerships help update my version to the latest to avoid having to deal with this?

People don’t complain when it’s working. I have never had an issue with it. Infact my key is locked away, me and my wife just use paak and it works every single time. Used to be a time when my trunk won’t open woth paak and it started working like a week after. So never really had an issue.

My car was built last week of May and I picked it up on June 30th. So a week short of you, I tried intelligent cruise and during lane changes, it temporarily disabled the cruise control and resumed back. So I am assuming, if this is true - you are a beta tester.
