I wondered about that but after following an MME and then looking at a 2nd one, I suspect ~1.5 degrees negative camber planned as it is really planted in the corners. Iām not saying Iām right. I did drive three VWs back in the day with horrible positive camber!
Follow an MME down the road. Theyāve negative camber on the rear. Really means 10,000 mile rotation probably too much and itās really hard to get 55,000+ miles on them. I also picked up a nail in both right side tires.
After laying down 50,000 miles in 2 years.. a sweetheart deal on a Lariat Lightning appeared so we traded off the twin turbo Flex monster for the Beast Lightning. Pays to have good contacts at a dealer as the preordered truck appeared and original orderer bailed. I was the 1st on the salesmanās...
So my ~90 mile commute is pretty flat country with 25, 35, 50, 55, 40, 30, 40, 55
50 mph zones. Really difficult to average much more than 46+ mph w/o a state trooper getting wiggy. I also run my tires atā¦. 42 psi.
Iām so with you on that. Tailgating can (easily avoidable) seriously injure/damage. I see 5 car āstacksā motoring at 65 mph on curvy rural 2-lane and one incident; they are all jammed up.
Donāt know but.. insurance says interior damage will be covered. Estimator was very sharp. Saw panel gaps immediately and said that energy moved things all over. Hood, trim, headlight, fascia get replaced.
Cruising at 45 mph on a rural 2 lane road, a deer races out right to left in front, I get on brakes quick but still smacks left front-center of hood and bumper.
Bent 8ā of hood front lip down at 45 degrees.
Cracked left headlight when it appears it was pushed into fender.
Cracked front bumper...
So my Veepeak BSH registered 93.5% after charging to 85%. Then we take the Flex (twin turbo freight train station wagon) to Montana for a week. Get home and now my BSH is 94.0%. Figured if I hung around Missoula for 2 months+ Iād be back at 100%.
Sorry to be snarky, I do a lot of morning and evening driving and always familiar with the worst case scenario. The forward radar appears to see about up to about 4ā+ right of the right fog line out to say 100ā? Or so? Thus it picked up two cyclists single file 100ā ahead or a car parked...
