Santan Ford seems to have figured this out. After my failed experience over the weekend, they were able to explain what failed and how they would fix it and test it next time. I will be taking my car back in next week.

mine was definitely there over the weekend (carbonized grey, awd, ex range), but the service advisor told me it was successful :)

Open the door. In the past,this has been sufficient to release the call but no longer. It is almost like ford improved the Bluetooth connection to fix paak issues and now it holds on longer. I will try the sync reboot suggested above.
