I see 2 ways to do this:
1. Use the Ford nav and have your spouse use Apple or other nav on their phone which is not paired.
2. Use apple maps, then switch to Ford nav when you're 50 miles out to trigger the warm up. You need a second person to handle the switching on the fly.
I only have version 4.7.3 - even after updating. No option for NACS yet. Will check later. I have a trip across PennsylTucky soon so I wish I had the update and the adapter. Like Rich said, it will be here this āspring.ā
Don't feel like you can only use one app. I use ABRP and EVGO both. I also use the Ford Nav so it will heat the battery to prepare for the charge. I think someone said if you are only using the Ford Nav to warm the battery, you should turn it on when you are 40-50 miles out to give it plenty...
I wonder if all this new charging infrastructure (IONNA, Tesla) will boost EV sales? We have heard a lot of bad news on EV sales. Decreasing loan rates and more chargers may be just the right medicine.
I drive equally poorly with both. All kidding aside, I love 1PD driving. I, and my wife also, got used to it very quickly. The only problem I have is going from 1 PD to ICE. it can be a real shock when youāre in an ICE vehicle, you let off the gas, but the car does not decelerate.
I thought one pedal driving would be better in the snow. Isnāt it like downshifting in an ICE vehicle? I thought one pedal driving would be safer since it uses the motor rather than the friction brakes is that not correct?
be careful what you ask for. I have the kick to open feature on my tailgate. It always opens while Iām washing the car. Once it opened while in my garage and I didnāt realize it. It hit the button to open the door. it gashed my tailgate. Most of the time when I wanted it to open because I have...
I have been reviewing all the information youāve given about charging the 12 V battery along with preconditioning the HVB. There have been times when we have asked for for additional software upgrades on this forum. Here are some things I wish Ford would add to our on board Computer:
1. An HV...
I think youāre overall point about the model Y being overly complicated is a good one. I was about to buy the model Y when the Mach E came out. Elon seemed to make a lot of things different on the model Y just to be different. I think Ford did a good job of making the MME more use...
Since the temperature of the battery is such vital information, Iām surprised Ford doesnāt offer this information on the monitor screen. Something like the way they do it for tire pressure.
Let me start with number five. If you close the tailgate with the button in the middle, it opens and closes all the way. If you close the gate with the button on the left side, the tailgate will only open to the point where it was when you hit that button. You may have to reset that.
3. My...
Let me add two points.
1. You should set the amperage that the charger will draw to 20% less than the amperage of the circuit. I have a 50 amp outlet so I charge at 40 A.(20% of50is 40)when I go to my father-in-lawās house, we use his 30 amp circuit. I then set my charger to 24 A.(20% of 30 is...
I noticed that most of the articleās information was, āI heard thisā or āIāve seen this.ā He didnāt cite any real evidence or literature. The price of all cars have gone down. It would be nice to see how BEV prices compare to prices overall. I also noticed an article at the bottom of that...
