Welp, in the end I am canceling my order and I picked up an x3 M yesterday. No, I don't need an SUV that tops out at 174mph like this, but it pulls HARD from 75-110 and I do appreciate that.
Oh and sorry gtpe, you can't touch these seats.
Not a troll post btw, I do hope ford sorts this out...
100% with ya. I'm fine losing to a Model Y Perf in a straight line, but not destroyed this hard. This wasn't intended to be a drag racer but it needs to do better than what we're seeing here.
I'm thankful for the OP and have truly enjoyed all of this speculation, frustration, and bench racing. To me, this feels like forum days of old...like 20 years ago.
So much better than the last few years worth of political and covid arguments. 100% let's all go back to arguing over our dick...
Exactly. Pro driver, special tires, weight loss...that's all going to impact the ET to a degree but the trap isn't going to change much from that, especially on an AWD car this heavy.
It's not that we don't get it. Hell, I own a Miata. It's that there's no good reason ford would release a performance variant of this vehicle that would get spanked by the mid model from 70-100.
I'm all for cars being fun in varying ways, but we can't have model Ys embarrassing us this bad either.
Uhhhhh... Over 80 is a daily occurrence where I live. I can't believe you all are making excuses. This thing should not trap 5mph SLOWER than the non-GT variant.

Certainly getting noticed....
Something is seriously wrong with that trap speed. If the OP didn't lift, then I would say ford has some major issues with software or hardware.
If I don't see some massive improvements in other member cars or an admission by ford that they goofed and are working on software, I will be...
Op, thanks so much for the pics and info. I have another seat question...I'm a thin framed guy, 6'3, with broad shoulders. I have some concerns about the strange design of the top section of the seat. Any thoughts on how this might fit me?
