I received 5.1.1. My FordPass app on my phone (4.30.1) is asking me to update in-vehicle settings to enable connectivity. There is a page of instructions Network & Internet > Location > Privacy
Can't find that anywhere!
Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features Says Please Wait...
When it stops, is the EVSE or the handle that connects to your Mach-E very warm?
It may be a heat issue. That was the problem with my car. Ford ended up replacing the cable from the charging port to the onboard charger.
Just a thought. Hope you can get it fixed!
Jim
Wait! What?
50% of the time when I get in my 2021 Job-1 Premium delivered 03-30-2021 with my fob, it still sets itself to my wife's settings. I have to manually change it to my settings. And this seems to be impossible to correct. There are about a half dozen other well documented small...
I take drives to the Keys for dive trips as well!.
I have used the EVgo station at the Florida Keys Outlet Center in Homestead, FL. Works, but only a 50 kWh station.
I have also used the EA station in Key Largo, FL. One station was down and as I recall, I did have to restart the session, but...
95% of my charging is done at home with a 40 Amp JuiceBox.
But I have to say that my EA experience in SE Florida has not been all that good. I have yet to be at a site where all of the usually four stations are functional. And sometimes I have to try more than one to get a charge to initiate...
In SE Florida, the drivers are just too insane for me to trust it, especially when it decides a curve is too much for it to handle and turns itself off!
I do like it when I am out on open sections of interstates between larger cities.
But I don't do that enough to justify the monthly or annual...
What time did you plug it in, and do you have a scheduled start time/max charging% setting for charging set up with your Mach-E?
Mine is set to start charging at 11:00PM and charge to 90%.
If I plug it in at 6:00 PM, the charging lights go from white to blue and the EVSE starts up for a few...
My Premium R/W Drive X/Range battery MME will be two years old on March 30th. I am at 10K miles.
All in all, I am very happy with the interior and exterior looks, how the car drives, and the EV range. I guess I am lucky in that we do not have a buzzing screen.
I have had a few hardware...
I had this problem and Ford finally changed out the charger port on the car.
The ford supplied EVSE only charges at 32 amps and it would work. But my 40A Juice Box or DCFC charging would not work at all.
I have been having the same problem with my old style Juice-Pro 40 Amp unit since late January. I did everything that Enel-X tech support asked me to try, but it still will not work. The Ford supplied unit works fine. I am still in warranty through the end of February.. How did you finally...
3.6.1 magically appeared yesterday.
I am wondering if someone suddenly realized that they forgot to release a giant batch of cars to get the update?
Now waiting to see when 3.6.2 makes it out to my Mach-E!
Jim
I was stuck at 1.7.1 for months and my car took a two day trip to the dealership to get that one corrected.
Now I appear to be stuck at 3.5.4.2 for quite a while.
My Premium Extended Range Mach-E is a Feb, 2021 build and I am in EA.
I keep the car charged to 90% and my Wi-Fi reception to the...
Be persistent at your dealership. They tried to blow me off on this. They have a 16A EVSE at the dealership and they told me they could not duplicate the error. I said lets go to a DCFC station and you will see that it will not initiate a charge. I also said I am charging at 40A at home and...
Ford replaced the charging connector and cable on the car. That helped quite a bit. DCFC now works with no problem.
My Juicebox-40 works much better now too. The handle was really warm before the replacement, and after the hardware change on the car it was nowhere near as warm as it was...
My dealer seems to want to sell used MAch-E's more than new units. They have the used cars priced higher than the new ones. They offered me more than I paid for my 2021. I am assuming it is because Ford has them locked into pricing schedules for new cars, but for used cars, it is "anything...
