Hope they do the same for me. So far the company line has been that it is their policy not to pay for rentals, and that if they did it would be two days, and that they won’t cover if I rented a non Ford product….

My hvbjb went bad before I got the notification that parts were available and it has now been in the shop since March 12th and Ford won’t even return calls, much less make an effort to get the car back on the road or pay for a necessary rental. Good job, @Ford Motor Company!

To the contrary, Fords website says there isn’t a remedy available for the recall and later states they will contact me by mail when the parts are available so I can get an appointment. That being said, do I wish I had been more proactive in trying to get those parts ahead of the failure...

Great question. The answer is that the letter I got in November stated that I would be contacted when parts were available. In a turn of events that will shock no one, I wasn’t contacted. And apparently my gtpe is not a priority given that it has now failed and I’m still waiting on parts.
