The Tesla App now allows us to set up a MachE and search for chargers. But it does not provide preconditioning of the battery. There is also a message on the sign in page of the Tesla App which welcomes Ford owners. That was kind of nice.

The Tesla app showed 50 c/kw at Tyngsborough. Still higher than the EA at the mall. I think Tesla charging will always be more expensive but then their chargers are working and available. That is worth something.

The charging cost basis is regulated by the individual state. Some require the cost to be by the minute and others by the KW delivered. I find the cost by the KW to be cheaper due to the MachE charging rate.

Nope. I have received this update but it did not update the sync navigation to show Tesla Chargers. I can search by typing in "Tesla supercharger" and find some of them but not all of them. Note, the Tesla chargers do appear in the Ford Pass App just not in the sync navigation in car screen.

Thw weather in Houston has warmed up to 70 deg. I drove the 2023 this morning and no noise from the coolant pumps. I guess you just have to wait for warm weather to arrive. I am also charging with a level 1 charger and the pumps are not running.

I own a 2021 Job 1. I am currently renting a 2023 while on an extended trip to Houston. I have noticed the same noise in the 2023 while charging and while driving. My 2021 has this noise when charging but it is not as noticable from the cabin.

I use CP sometimes. The thing I notice is it will not stay connected to the charger for more than a few minutes. Then I have to reposition and the cycle starts over again. I have tried it with and without the case and no difference.
