Tesla, until Elon went crazy, became quite profitable developing and selling BEVs. Last I checked, Tesla was not a philanthropic organization. Thinking outside the box, my point is that Toyota could have had a significant role in advancing the inescapable reality of the BEV world while STILL...
In large part, we can lay the current state of the BEV market affairs on Toyota. As the world's largest automaker, just think what they could have done if they had jumped in feet-first into the BEV market--putting their vast market expertise into the development of BEVs and building a charging...
Maybe it was because I lived in California and they were more familiar with BEVs, but I always had excellent experiences with Discount Tire. They always knew what they were doing.
1) Would you keep, lease/loan, or buy another MACH-E
Absolutely. In my nearly 50 years of car ownership, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I say that even after living through one HVBJB replacement. I plan on keeping my Mach-E until it drops.
2) If you wanted to get out of the...
I agree with what others have said that there must be something else going on with your MME (battery draining). In December, I left my MME for 16 days in a cruise parking lot and returned to find that I had plenty of LVB "juice" to start the car normally...and that was with a LVB that was...
Somehow, I naively believed I was immune, but my 2022 Select got "the bug" this past weekend. After a routine trip from San Diego to Phoenix (with two DC charges to 80% each in between), I stopped at my Phoenix hotel to check in. After checking in, I went back out to my MME, pressed the start...
I went to my car's page on the Ford website and pulled up my vehicle dashboard. Even after doing so, I could not find the "status" field under "Name". Am I missing something?
I get everything that you are saying, but I am one of those logical, pragmatic thinkers driven by science and data, rather than emotion, so burning my house down with my Mach-E is not one of those things over which I will lose any sleep.
I've parked and charged mine in the garage for almost 3 years now. Yes, there is a chance that an EV can catch fire, but take a look at the information in this link: https://www.evfiresafe.com/. If their data are correct, there is actually a greater chance of an ICE catching fire, which makes...
I have the exact same tires on my 2022 Select and, at 44,500 miles, they still have 5/32 tread depth remaining. I may not squeal around corners, but I'm no grandpa behind the wheel either. Yes, you should get more than 20,000 miles from your tires.
I also live in SD
I also live in SD and have made the trip to Phoenix multiple times. Start at 100% charge at home, recharge at the EA in El Centro and the EA in Dateland. Works great...easy peasy. There are restaurants within a few blocks of the EA in El Centro and pizza and good ice cream...
I have stopped at that EA in El Centro numerous times to recharge. Walk about 3 blocks to the main street (South Imperial Avenue) and there are numerous places to eat.
