I didn't know the Model X doors fully open when you step around. I definitely don't trust sensors to prevent hitting another (little) person or another parked car. Also I feel like opening a gap could mean fingers get caught in there on accident.
Also, does the entire floor board raise on both ends so that it stays level? I'm not seeing what it would rest on the other end. Just worried it would be slanted and cause a lot of shifting of items placed back there?
I like how this functions. Was worried it would actually open itself which is not only a safety issue for people like me with little kids but also might slam into other cars if parked tightly. This makes much more sense than what I imagined.
I know someone else who placed order I believe last week with a 100402xx # but they are not on forums.
I'm wondering if a large chunk of the recent ones went to dealers for training since they are all getting at least one?
Puddle lights would be a nice touch. I wouldn't mind the electric pony they've been using at auto shows (pic below). It's distinct and immediately recognized as the electric version.
This reminds me of the "Liquid Blue" Ford used to debut the GT350R. Beautiful.

Ford would be smart to offer this officially.
