First, if every dealer creates a separate Repair order to check in/out your car in their shop, that might count as 3 repair attempts and you might qualify for the lemon law. It is not your fault that each (authorized) dealer does not fix the problem. It is Ford's problem.
I sold my GT a couple...
I have seen in person another GV60 dead with a flat 12V. It is a common issue and it will likely happen to you again, until Genesis updates their BMS software. Hyundai already updated the BMS software of Ioniq5. Probably the same update has not reached the EV6 or GV60 yet so keep your jump...
It is not just the Bolts. In my local EA, 2/3 stalls are broken and the only working stations is always an ID4 because they have free EA charging. Some owners prefer to charge at EA instead of home.
With more and more EVs being on the road, most with free EA charging, and a big number of EA...
I agree with you but the software release notes say that it protects the components from excessive heat. So the software is not doing what Ford says it does.
I sold my GT and the last two days I drive a Volvo S60 plug in hybrid and the difference in ride quality is huge. I had forgotten how it is to be in a car that has a normal suspension. I can have passengers again in the rear seat without them complaining about the ride quality. The GT had the...
I sold to a local car broker who gave me a good offer and they even inspected and picked up it from my house. I will not say how much but you get the idea based on the offers I received. I did not choose Driveway because I heard of a few bad experiences, like low-balling you after they do the...
Not necessarily. Even if you sell above MSRP, there are still taxes, DMV fees, other fees, ADM, etc that you have to account for, and is some states they are pretty steep. Lemon buyback refunds taxes and fees and I believe they would even cover the ADM since it is part of purchase price.
I just...
When I went for a test drive at my local Genesis dealer, one of the four GV60s on the lot was completely dead. They could not even unlock it. Some of these issues are due to drained 12v batteries but there might be more issues.
This week, I sold my 2021 MME GT base version with no packages and 4800 miles. Excellent condition. Here are the offers I received:
Local dealers:
- Ford dealer: $50k 😂😂😂😂 . Seriously. Btw these guys mark up MMEs like crazy and sell used GTs for $70k
- Volvo Dealer (where I bought an S60...
Same experience with my local EA location. Two out of three stations fail to connect with the car and initiate a charge. The third one works but it is always taken.
These stations used to work a few months ago so things are deteriorating and I believe they will get even worst with all these new...
The new part has "beefier" contractors but it still has the same design drawbacks as the original design. It might be less susceptible to failure but without active cooling or a temperature sensor, I still don't see how the new contractors will not melt under certain conditions.
Of course this...
If you park on the same spot you can buy a couple of fake snakes and/or fake foxes and put them around the spot. You have to move and rotate them every few days. This should also work against rats.
I will soon say farewell to my GT and Ford as well. I just bought a Volvo S60 Recharge Extended range at MSRP and it is built in the US so it still qualifies for the federal tax credit.
I am currently looking for the best offer for my GT but the stupid recall OTA update has not cleared my recall...
The recall is just a software update and easy money for the dealer. I don't understand why they wouldn't take such an easy job.
Honestly even if Ford managed to convince the dealer to do it, I wouldn't want my car serviced by them.
Even if you had the recall update OTA, the dealer might still see the campaign is open and that's why they might believe they just need to update the software. Mine was updated OTA 16 days ago and the campaign is still open. Maybe they sync information from one Ford system to another manually...
I guess the installation wasn't inspected by city otherwise they should have caught the missing neutral.
I suggest that you try have the original electrician come back run a neutral because their work does not meet the electrical code and they practically "cheated" you by saving wire cost.
