2022 Cali RT1 AWD with 14000miles. 4 passengers plus backpack equipment. Boise, Idaho to Stanley, Idaho and back. 264mile round trip. Elevation gain of 4000ft. Weather was between 70-95F. Hypermiled by not going over 55mph. Averaged 4.1 miles per kWh. Made it home with 80 miles to spare...
"Free Markets" are not "free" they are run by rules set up by a governing body that regulates them. Without government you have no market. If you like "freedom" you like government.
Just noticed this same issue with my Mach e. In the leftmost lane and it want's to get nice and close to the semi-truck on my right. I end up having to pull the steering wheel slightly left in these situations.
Orovada to Boise 3.5 miles per kWh (60mph)
When I drove from Orovada NV to Boise ID I kept my speed no higher than 60 for most of the way (except for the last 20 miles when I knew I would make it home). The road is not flat. I did have to go over the Owyhee mountains.
Basically, if you need...
My aunt was being a bit critical about how much planning I had to do and said she was just too old to understand. I told her it was kind of like planning a long trip in 1975 with a 1969 Chevelle! Talk about range anxiety, not to mention breakdown anxiety! LOL
First big trip in the Mach e RT1 and first time using DC fast charging. I'll try not to make this a novella.
Started trip 7/30/22 and ended 8/5/22
Weather was in the high 90s to low 100s all week.
First leg Boise to Portland. (430miles traveling 75 to 80mph)
Tried using ABRP as I drove...
Ford should allow the Mach e to be able select max charge amps like the Teslas can. I've seen people charge their Teslas with portable solar generators because they can limit charge currents to 5AMPS.
Yeah, I wondered what that was about. I was a bit upset I couldn't change my charging from the app anymore. I had to call the 24hr hotline. I wonder if that was a liability issue. Probably had many people who have no experience with electronics, changing amperage on a whim, and causing burned...
Really happy with Charge Point Flex and the 24hr tech support. Was able to install myself to a 240V 20amp circuit. Works great and I'm able to monitor my monthly energy consumption via the Charge Point app. Really helpful when the electric bill comes around.
A couple things I like about the Charge Point Flex is that I could set it to 240V 20Amp because of my older house wiring and I can monitor my monthly charging cost since my wife pays the electricity bill out of her own account.
Owners Manual:
"Additionally, setting the maximum charge level to be less than 100% for everyday usage reduces strain on the battery". pg 157
"Storage State of Charge You can increase the battery life by maintaining your state of charge below 100%. When you park your vehicle for an extended...
