The Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 is purely a technology testbed. It's an electric drag car. I can't imagine it shares many components with the Mach E. It has different motors and inverters and 4 motors vs. 2. The fact that the Cobra Jet exists has little to do with our production Mach-Es.
I did a real-life comparison video on this exact topic. I bought the GTPE because I wanted the Mageride suspension. It's very, very good and worth the extra $5K if you value handling and ride quality. I did a video comparing the two trim levels:
They are very good in my experience. Very grippy in the dry and wet. You won't exceed their limits in street driving. My only complaint is that the car will understeer a bit when you push it really hard. That's less on the tires, and more on the way the handling is set up from the factory. In a...
Is there any way you can post the pages pertaining to bleeding the brakes? I'm wondering if it's possible to bleed the brakes without a diagnostic computer?
I want to flush my brake fluid and use high performance track fluid. Do you know if any independent dealer would have the appropriate...
I take my MME GT PE to the track and I want to flush the OEM brake fluid with something like Castrol SRF. I boiled the fluid at my last track day.
I have googled, but I don't see any tutorials on flushing the brake fluid.
Does anyone have a work shop manual that they can export the relevant...
I'd really need to find a dragstrip to do that. I'd love to, but it will probably result in very similar numbers between the 2 cars. We know that mechanically there is no difference and, in theory, only 0.3 seconds separating them. I will have some more track videos coming up though!
I'll try to do more comparisions. It's a bit of a challenge finding someone willing to spend a couple hours with me filming a video, but I'm going to keep looking. I have an upcoming comparision of my GTPE vs a 2022 Premium (still confirming the trim level).
I compared the GT vs the GTPE in...
I spoke with Shelby American a couple months ago at SEMA. They said they are working on some power updates, but I could not pin them down to anything specific. The rep just hinted and smiled when I asked if they would unlock more power. We'll have to wait and see, but it might be a while - or it...
It's likely not very easy as factors such as SOC and ambient temperatrue will mean very different things to different vehicles. The available oxygen is irrelevant to an EV.
The factors that affect any particular EV are handled differently by different manufacturers. It's a combination of...
