Admittedly 95% of my charging is at home, but its been almost no inconvenience. I may be luckly but mine always picks up my address and charges to the right level. When on a trip I usually just manually stop the charging myself or time(as in I'm usually not stopped long enough) doesn't let it...
I missed this thread. I actually got mine on 2/22/2022.
Here are some pics. The steering while doesn’t have any white accents.
The first pic is after getting it ceramic coated, the rest where when I was dealing with paperwork at the dealer.
I haven't used the frunk extensively but its a good spot for take out since the smaller space causes it to slide around less. I have had no problems with water getting in it. Nor has the temperature been an issue in a sub 3mile trip.
I don't think this falls under the standard, GOM affected by weather threads that we see all the time. This is an interesting turn. I would expect a reset in the same weather to return the same results. It would be interesting if ford did change the calculations in an update, though I haven't...
True because most people just intuit when they need to fill up. Again this is because of the prevalence and ease of gassing up. I’m curious when/if we will reach the same point in ev.
Not on the default settings it doesn’t, my 2016 Camaro never did. I think it’s just weird. Like last people do not pay attention to it. Maybe more cars in the last 5 years have added it. But in most peoples cars I only see the fuel, not left over range. Again I understand this is cause it’s...
I think it should just show battery percentage and average kWh. I mean most ice cars don’t tell you how far you can make it. People just intuit it. I know charging is different then fueling up. I hope eventually though we end at a point where it won’t be as big of consideration and we just see...
I ordered my car in June last year. The next time I heard from ford was in October when they switch it from 21 to a 22. Then in Nov when I got a build date. Then finally January saw some real action. Picked up the far Feb 22.
I had a subpanel already in my garage with a 60amp wire that powers other things. If I wanted to have a full 60 for my car I would have had to run another 60amp wire from my main box to the garage. Instead they just ran about 2 feet of 50amp wire from the subpanel to where the outlet went. If I...
I also don't know if just being a new division divorces them from this agreements. Its not really a new company. I think part of the complaint from investors is this was only a half measure from separating to a new company. I am however no business expert.
For two hours that’s what 10-12 miles? 3.4 kw and 3 mi per kw. I mean I think if cost isn’t an option, hard wired is the way to go. But for me it was like an extra 2 grand to do a hard wire, so not worth it.
I think the difference is 11.52 kw vs 9.6 kw. I though I saw there is about a 10% efficiency loss on charging. So 10.37kw vs 8.64kw. So to charge 80kw of your 92kw battery. We are talking 7.71 hrs vs 9.26 hrs.
This is some rough table cloth math here. For most people its going to fall into...
If you go the hardwire route you can get the 60a version, which would give you the 50a constant load. The MME can handle 48a. If you do a 14-50 nema. The max load is 40. SO it will charge ever so slightly slower. In my case it was going require running a bunch more wire and not worth. For...
