On Monday, I set up my home charger on the Ford Pass App to charge every day to 90% between 11 pm and 8 am when presumably the electricity rates are lower. It has not worked a single time. Anyone have any troubleshooting advice? Clearly there is something off about my process.
Thanks in...
Can I ask where you had this done? I live in the Detroit area and purchased a similar decal but now need to find a good body shop to put it on properly.
Thanks
I picked up my new MME yesterday and I am happy to report that the dealer had already figured out the price protection piece so no arguing necessary on that score and I got the $1000 in incentives that were in place in SE Michigan when I ordered my MME last September. Add in the Z plan and it...
Price protection is a program to cover the difference in current MSRP and the ordered date MSRP.
The $750 is a separate incentive from Ford for people converted from 2021 to 2022 models.
Nice comprehensive breakdown of all the pricing and incentives issues to be confirmed with the dealer. My MME is supposed to be ready this week so I will go in armed with the same information.
Sadly I got the same email. Was supposed to be in last week, then this week, now two weeks from now. Meanwhile interest rates keep going up and used car values are going down so I am losing money on multiple fronts. Very frustrating.
Why is that a "sweet deal"? Price protection is just giving you the price that the car was at when the order was placed. And X plan is X plan and it has nothing to do with price protection. My dealer literally tried to pull something with me where he said there was no price protection, but...
Got it. Thanks. My MME is scheduled to be delivered sometime next week. I'm hoping that I won't get the run around on price protection and Options incentives, but will be ready for it, just in case.
There is a long thread on this very issue. The bottom line is that dealer's SHOULD be honoring the price protection regardless of whether you have an email showing the original price when the vehicle was ordered, but whether each individual dealer will actually do what is right is a different...
When you say "original date" does that mean the date we placed the "order request" online at Ford.com (which for me is 8/31/21), or the date that I signed the order form at the dealer (which wasn't until 9/22/21).
Thanks
Anyone heard any updates on this State of Michigan credit? I haven't heard anything since it was proposed in January? Hopefully there is a bill being discussed that is likely to pass this year.
This is great to hear. Hoping to hear more stories like this where the dealer/Ford actually gave the price protection. and honored the pre Jan 2022 lower price.
My MME is scheduled for delivery in early April and I am anticipating the dealer giving me a hassle on this issue.
While this is obviously not Ford, another EV maker (Rivian) was basically shamed into honoring the prices for people who ordered prior to a price increase, which should be good news for us in the same boat...
He's not really asking for more "incentives" What he is really asking for is that Ford and/or the dealership honor the pricing that was in place when the car was ordered. We shouldn't have to pay thousands of dollars in price increases announced in January 2022 because it took Ford so long to...
My order on the Ford website still says "in production" for the week of 1/10/22 so I finally talked to my sales rep today and he confirmed the car was built and was on hold waiting for chips with an estimated delivery date of February 20th. No idea how realistic that delivery date is, but...
