Good thing about Tesla is there are often meaningful updates. One of the recent updates enables linking MyQ Account to your Tesla, so if have the smart garage door opener, it's a free function now. If you don't have yet, they are often on sale for $30 or less, and it has more functions than just...
It doesn't matter whether you consider it as luxury. Majority of the US population would compare a $50k-60k car against Mercedes or BMW, well known luxury brands with great build quality.
Having a sale number over them is a great achievement of Tesla.
Also, Tesla #1 volume for 2022 is model Y...
Build quality is quite good on my Tesla (May 2022 build). Not many people still complain about build quality on Tesla forums.
They sold more cars than Mercedes or BMW or any other high quality luxury brands last year.
Probably not that fast but not much off. Giga Shanghai makes 3000 3+Y per day, that's 29 seconds for a car. Take out some downtime between shifts and maintenance, probably 55 second each for a Y or 3.
You can read whatever you like. I have both cars and I gets much lower range in my premium ER than my Tesla model Y performance in 20-40F temperature.
Back in summer they were about same.
Mostly the user interface. Much easier to understand and find how to change things.
For me, the ride is much better in Tesla (it's performance trim), which the MME has way more body roll in turns.
MME blue cruise is way better than Tesla FSD though. I'll be missing it if I trade in MME for...
I'm seriously considering another Tesla. We have a model Y and MME premium ER. Model Y is preferred by everyone in the family and MME gets rarely driven now. Plus winter range MME is way lower than Tesla (20-40F, below 20 Tesla starts dropping more).
Model 3 LR is $50k now.
That's correct. Braking gently with 2PD mode would reclaim the kinetic energy back to battery, just like 1PD does.
Although that's not OP's proposed usage. OP wants to coast without braking until the end then hard brake to stop, thus convert most energy to heat.
My quick calculation shows a MME at 5000lb driving at 40MPH to a stop has about 200Wh energy to be converted to other type of energy.
You 2PD case, the energy mostly converts to heat and releases to the air.
1PD case, mostly goes back to the battery.
I don't know why you think wasting on...
Don't go to tire or brake shops for inspection.
Ask why I know.
Although I've had other shops trick me into buying new tail lights bulb (and refuse to let me see the car due to safety reasons) or told me windshield wiper blades had to be changed.
I had premium subscription for my trips. There are several ways to keep tracking the battery percentage, through third party link (probably just Tesla thing), Bluetooth, or manually update. Bluetooth never connected to my ABRP, even it works with other apps. Manual updating is a pain, slow...
.
The binding contract only matters to cars lost credit on 8/16/2022 (e.g. KIA EV6).
MME is good until 12/31/2022, regardless model year, you don't need a binding contract, just take delivery by today!
They did open the case for my cracked windshield. Then someone from Ford called me and said they can't do anything unless the car is in a dealership. And the dealership I went to was firm they can't do anything about windshield so I can't leave the car there.
Much better lately (from last year or so).
Also, Tesla OTA is real. Frequent updates (like twice a month) fixing issues and update features.
Tesla mobile service is great also. If your car has an error, it shows you detailed info, the error is sent to Tesla when you request service, and if...
