Driving this morning, my SXM stopped working mid-song. After a few minutes, I get a scree message that says "Hardware Problem." Presets are jacked up. FM/AM radio work. Android Auto Works. I'd rather not have to bring it to the dealer on Saturday morning and not have the car for several days...
I feel like I got far less than what I paid for, so I wouldn't do it again. But it's only money and you cant take it with you, so might as well have some fun with it.
yeah, i feel a bit exploited. I like driving mine, but the premium was not worth it. I've never been a Ford guy, and still am not. Glad you got your money out of it.
Noticed this issue the last 2 nights when parked in my garage. Car is turned off and locked. Nothing seems to be on, but the dash screen is glowing blue. No graphics or anything displayed, just looks like it's in stand-by. Anybody experienced this? Is there a fix? I would prefer not to...
funny, i had the same issue originally. Headlights stayed on when parked. I read somewhere that if you push or pull (cant remember, it was a while ago) the turn signal lever on the left of the steering column, it disengages the headlight switch. Worked for me.
I heard back from Ford this morning. Dealer says they followed procedure in contacting Ford Warranty Dept, who sent them the replacement part. They insist the LZ9Z is the correct replacement. Of course, I don't know if it was verified by VIN, or model or what information was communicated...
Yes, I did. He thought I was accusing them of putting the old failed part back in the car. I explained that Ford came out with a new upgraded part, and that is what they needed to use. His response was "Uhhh, but I don't show a recall on your VIN." I also asked him is that was even the...
I spoke to the dealer service rep and he says my VIN isn't part of the recall, so they replaced the connector with the original style LK9Z. They also failed to do a software upgrade. He clearly didn't know anything about this issue or the fix. Waiting for a call back from Ford.
I was just told the same thing after having the HVBJB failure. Just checked the Ford site and it confirms. Part was replaced with the LK9Z part a few days ago, which I am told was the original non-upgraded version. My BD says 08/21.
2021 MME GTPE
Towed to dealer (Caruso Ford of Long Beach, CA) on 6/23/22
Diagnosed Error Code P0563
Repair finished 7/8/22, picked up on 7/9/22.
Service Advisor told me my vehicle was not part of the recall (could not explain why, probably just covering his own ass for making a mistake) so they...
UPDATE 7/9/22: My GT is fixed and back at home as of today. Just over 2 weeks duration. Ford rep prioritized my part order (THANKS!) Here's a clip from the service order, if anyone is interested. Doesn't say anything about a software update:
Well, as far as failure rates, 100% of my MMEs failed and as a result I am able to drive 0% of my relatively pricey performance vehicle for an undetermined amount of time. The fact they got it mostly right is little consolation.
I drove my normal morning commute about 24 miles of Southern California freeway driving, generally 70-75mph. Car was fully charged overnight on my 40A ChargePoint garage system. No warnings or errors. Car was parked for all little over 2 hours when I tried to leave for a meeting.
Yesterday I tried to start my car and got the Stop Safely Now error. It also said Full Accessory Mode, or something. All accessories seem to work fine, but car was dead. I've had it since 10/20/21, I only have 5900 miles, and have never used a DC fast charger. Towed it on a flatbed to local...
