I have the same model and year vehicle. Just switched from winter tires to new Hankooks. So far less road noise, softer ride, nice handling but too early to notice range difference. The bill at my favorite mechanic shop was $991 before $60 off for cash.
Could be they neglected one reservoir or just filled them without the vacuum procedure, like they’re used to doing with ICE cars. This is part of the learning curve for service departments. The vacuum procedures takes about an hour instead of 5 minutes like they are used to.
I had a similar experience with my 2022 Mach E and the problem occurred because the mechanic didn’t realize there were two coolant reservoirs in my 2022 that required vacuum filling. I’m not sure if the newest models still have two or only one.
Yes, he did.
Living in rural Wisconsin for the past 8 years, all my cars have been invaded by mice. They typically made a nest on top of the cabin filter. On the Honda Clarity Forum, I held the record for the largest mice nest--bigger than a softball. With my 2022 Mach E, the nests nearly...
I’ve used it three times and I’m about 20 miles from Toycen Ford. No problems. Very convenient as we only have one vehicle. Left us a loaner each time.
I’ve been following the threads on tires and like your reasoning, so I am going to get Hankooks as well. Let us know your experience with them. You are an excellent observer and explainer.
Yes, we came up with the same approximate figures with two plug in vehicles over the past 5 years, adjusting for variations in gas mileage. Our last ICE vehicle was a Honda Accord that got around 30 mpg for routine daily driving as I recall. My wife tells me our gasoline bill (BP card) typically...
18,000/12=1500 miles monthly on average. We have off peak charging rate of about $.07/kwh from our electric coop. We are retired with one car and only one long drive over 250 miles, so very little DC charging.
I also have the ChargePoint Home Flex and I recently used the data showed by GaterGrowl to determine my approximate cost for charging over 34,000 miles, which averages out to about $35/month or $420/year.
dcbr,
My recall repair was finished today and I emailed the service manager a copy of the OP’s letter from Ford. He confirmed I am getting this atonement package, although he can’t say how long it will take to get all the pieces.
