On the Fence after watching Mach E's thermal system nightmare

Buy a Tesla. I have been plagued with random software glitches, keyless entry that works maybe 10% of the time. 2 HVBJB replacements, plastic parts just snapping on my car with nearly no wear, auto headlight bugs that make my lights stay on for hours at a time, and a 12v battery warning nearly...

After your current MME, What is your next EV?

Either the plagues if issues I have had with my MME, I will most likely replace it with a model 3 performance. I wish I could stick with Ford and I have had 4 fords before and will be buying a explorer for the MRs soon, I just donā€™t think the EV team has what it takes to beat the MY or M3

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

lemon law only covered first year. I actually qualified for the lemon law on the first year as it took several months for them to address the issue but I was willing to work with ford on it. Iā€™m not here to be a pain in the ass and complain but there are limits.

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

Just dropped off the vehicle at Heiser Ford in Glendale WI. I explained to them that it took nearly 3 months to get the last one replaced and had to take it to the other shop across town to finally get it taken care of after a dozen visits and just as many phone calls. The manager on duty was...

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

almost never. Maybe 10 times since I have owned the car and only 20 minutes worth each time.

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

Happened while accelerating on an onramp to the highway. Exact same symptoms and scenario as my last HVBJB issue. Same errors on my ford app.

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

Yup. I donā€™t drive it that hard either. 20,000 miles.

    HVBJB failure… Round 2

Well, itā€™s been a year and I was told I had the upgraded HVBJB unit and now it looks like itā€™s broken again. reduced power and maintenance light request again :( it looks like the new unit has the same lifespan as my original unit.

Do you really use blue cruise that often?

its more advanced since it mostly relies on vision as allowed to a heavy reliance on radar/LiDAR and performs better under real world testing for obstacle avoidance and high variable situations. Itā€™s not a simple ā€œis there a car in front of meā€ system. Teslas system looks at break lights, signs...

Do you really use blue cruise that often?

The moment I start getting charged for blue cruise is the moment I put my car up for sale. Teslaā€˜s free auto pilot is far more advanced than fords paid blue cruise, not to mention safer. Ford charging for an inferior product is the wrong approach. As an investor ford should be pouring in...

Programmers - why so many bugs?

**** DISCLAIMER**** I'm not a programmer or developer, or hardware or software engineer, but I work with a lot of them and I work in the manufacturing space with lots of complicated hardware and software. There are many issues as to why your software is buggy, but I'm only going to focus on the...

Interesting read: Ford Corp versus Tesla Corp

Lol 100% also as someone that does manufacturing at a high level, people are incredibly clueless to how far ahead Tesla actually is. Itā€™s not just the software, itā€™s the entire package. Years ahead. When you have Toyota saying the model 3 is a work of art you know ICE industry is really not...

Per Study, ICE fueling costs fall below price of EV charging

I drive like an absolute asshole and get like 1.6-1.8 miles on average. But at $0.05 per kWH where I charge, I could give fuck all lol. Who is paying 13$ for 100 miles? LOL

Visor Sticker Removal - DIY Instructions

<---- Sticker manufacturer here. My company makes stickers.... A lot of stickers, many like the one you see. I love the "warranty void if removed" as in most western countries, including the US, this is unenforceable. REMOVE AWAY!

Had a 7 week journey to get my Mach e back. Parts came in only 3 days after my failure, but the tech wasnā€™t trained and was backed up. 4 weeks in they decided to do the repair only to find out that they didnā€™t have the right lift. They sent it to another dealer 20 miles away. 3 weeks later ford...

Ford gives dealers 2 months to accept new rules or stop selling EVs.

I researched installing dcfc at my manufacturing facility where I already bring in 480, 208,240 3 phase. Iā€™m also across the street from a power relay station. the cost to these dealerships is probably going to be 100,000$ for a 62.5kwh charger. Not to mention all the issues they will have...

    So….. 100 miles from home…. How screwed am I?

I think the lift they have can pick up my car (they have changed my tires for winter/summer) but not in a way that gives them access to drop the battery. They stated my care was "too narrow for their lift".

    So….. 100 miles from home…. How screwed am I?

Well..... It's been nearly 7 weeks since my HVBJB failure and still no car. It took a week to get the part, but 4 weeks for my dealer to look at it only to find out they didn't have a lift for my vehicle and they were unable to complete the repair. The Service desk employee reached out to...

Bugatti's design boss says MME looks like male genitalia......

I could be wrong, but my guess is BEV are already so much more expensive than ICE cars right now, that adding or spending money on new body designs and stuff, adds too much cost to them for the average user. If you want a hypercar and can afford a hyper car, go for the hypercar, but at the end...

    So….. 100 miles from home…. How screwed am I?

OK, another update guys. LOL I probably know the name of every tech and mechanic at my local dealer, and we are basically family at this point, I have been there so many times. They FINALLY got to my car to complete the repair, and they DON'T have a car lift that will fit my car :'( They have...
