Definitely software related issues for me. We had a whole year of ownership where everything was great except for minor software bugs. Starting in December 2022 after an update, FordPass could no longer communicate with the car and then it suddenly thought it was a fleet car and asked for a pin...
Definitely the crappy software for me. We've been without the ability to see the car on FordPass since December 7. Since the same time, the car also thinks it's a fleet vehicle and asks for a login when we get in. Can't connect to Android Auto wirelessly. I've got an appt at the dealership next...
Going on 19 days where the car is asking for login numbers, won't connect to Android Auto wirelessly, and FordPass can't see the car. Suuuuper obnoxious.
Add us to the list of people with this problem for about 10 days now. I came to search the forum for the fix but there isn't one. Awesome! Just in time for winter. We make regular use of remote start because, you know, it's cold in Chicago in the winter. That's out the window until this is...
I don't think it was possible that it was the child safety lock because it was only one of the back doors in one instance and the front passenger door in the other instance.
Yesterday we had friends in the back seat and when we arrived at our destination, the rear passenger side door would not open from the inside. Yes, the car was in park, and the doors were unlocked (all three other doors opened fine). It ultimately opened with the button from the outside...
Interesting how the issues seem to be car dependent. It works great for me! The only time I had issue with eye tracking was when I was driving south early in the morning and there was a pretty bad glare clearly messing with the system. I moved the visor over to the left to block the sun and...
We've had a 2021 MME AWD ER since December '21 and a '22 Model Y LR since February 2022 and I love driving both of them but in a perfect world, someone would make a car combining the best traits of both.
Features I would take from the MME:
1) Looks. The MME is gorgeous compared to the Model Y...
I've noticed the same thing with random Teslas, EV6s, Bolt EUVs. Don't know the answer though. What I do like about it is that the EL plates give one a picture of how quickly EVs are being adopted in Illinois since plates are just proceeding in numerical order. We got our MME in December of...
Reporting back. I took 55 all the way from Chicago to St. Louis and back and used BlueCruise the whole time. Worked great! There were the expected disengagements at poorly marked constructions zones but other than that, it was flawless. It made for a very pleasant drive. We've had the car...
I'll be driving from Chicago to St. Louis and back at the end of the week. I'll report back on my experience. I recently took 294/94 from Chicago to Milwaukee and back and it worked great for the whole trip.
I initiated a chat on the Ford website and had the same experience I've seen in other threads. The person on the other end claimed that performance of the recall update (or any service work) was at the discretion of the dealer. Amazing! This whole experience has really soured me on Ford. I...
I was able to make an appointment at Bredemann Ford in Glenview, IL (15 minutes away). They also verified that they would be able to perform any future, non-recall related service on the car if needed. Golf Mill Ford is dead to me.
Yet another reason to hate the dealer model. Despite the fact that my last two cars were purchased from the Ford dealer about 5 minutes away from me (NW suburbs of Chicago), they won't perform the software update because I didn't buy my MME from them -- which of course I would have done if they...
Since I picked up the Premium off the lot, I don't really care what happens to this one. My impression was that the dealer wanted the car so they could sell it when it came in so the order is still in my account and I watch it out of curiosity.
OMG, if I hadn't gotten the car off the lot, I would be so pissed that this delay is because the dealer wasn't on the ball with making a necessary change in status. I was under the impression nothing needed to be done when the 21 to 22 change notice went out.
