    Why would you do this?

[video] Saying good-bye to Mach N Cheese

I guess it depends on how you’re defining fast. I’m just going from functional 0 to 60 time. It is fast. My Camaro SS was not as fast as this car 0-60 but it felt way faster. It certainly was more exhilarating/scary to drive, where as the MME is almost too planted (again, this is a massively...

[video] Saying good-bye to Mach N Cheese

Yeah, but that’s not a thing in my experience. This car flies. If you’re going 70 miles an hour and floor you’re going 100 real quick. The five seconds of wide-open throttle stuff is a minor annoyance at this point. When I’m in traffic on the highway, the car is like a time machine. There’s no...

[video] Saying good-bye to Mach N Cheese

I hate the 5 second rule too, as I said. It’s annoying - and I believe they will fix it with firmware after they have enough data. At least give us a defeat mode. The GT is a fun car. It’s the fastest thing I’ve ever owned, but it is not and never will be a sports car (the Miata is, I highly...

[video] Saying good-bye to Mach N Cheese

Look, I’m glad you’re buddies with this guy, but he lost me when he was talking about the performance. These are electric cars. They weigh a ton, anybody that buys an electric vehicle looking for anything other than straight line performance and speed, is effing kidding themselves. My fun car...

Exactly - these are not issues en masse. Bugs happen. My MME GT has been fantastic, even through the HVBJB issue. Annoying bugs here and there, but I vent to the “record feedback” button when something bothers me. I also don’t mess with my car for YouTube views.

Did anyone experience problems with the Tesla super charger cable not reaching the charging port on the Mach-E

Yeah, but should I keep a generator in my trunk and 5 gallons of gas in the frunk in case I run out of juice?!? :)

Did anyone experience problems with the Tesla super charger cable not reaching the charging port on the Mach-E

Well they only opened up the network to get at the government cheese incentivizing charging infrastructure growth. No one said they had to make the cable reach!

How often do you charge your Mach E?

I typically charge the car Sunday night, Tuesday night & Thursday night (it’s actually the next day, because my charging doesn’t start until after midnight to take advantage of cheaper rates from 12am to 6am weekdays). 40 to 50 miles total commuting. Charge to 85%. Usually not below 40% most...

That is one hell of a commute!

Ford Can't Fix My Broken Trunk Liftgate - "It's a Feature, not a Bug"

Yeah, I tested it on mine last night (2021 GT) and holding the button while it is going up doesn't do anything. It will stop if I press the button again while it is going up or down, so that was helpful to learn for future reference.

Ford Can't Fix My Broken Trunk Liftgate - "It's a Feature, not a Bug"

Ok - then I can see that as a feature. I have raised my trunk and realized as it was going up that I wasn't in my normal parking spot, so I had to grab the thing so it wouldn't just bang into the low ceiling. It sounds like if you hold the button, it will stop where you let go of it, which...

An auto CEO came very close to saying the right thing about heavy EV batteries

It could be 3 years - it could be 20. From the tech advancements that I have been following, it seems a lot closer than farther, but we won't really know until it is here.

MME has been around for 3 years, Battery lost?

That is a lot of miles in 2 years - so is he DC fast charging a lot/majoriity of the time? I have had mine for about 18 months, with 2 winter cycles. I have noticed no drop in range. I charge at home 97% of the time on level 2. Is it also possible your friends car is just adapting to their...

Anyone find a phone mount for the Mach-E dashboard?

I'd just like the stupid wireless charging to work consistently. Need a mag safe mat that will fit the area. I bought one of those rubber mats that helps a bit, but not 100%. I have to keep readjusting to keep it in the charge zone.

Ford Can't Fix My Broken Trunk Liftgate - "It's a Feature, not a Bug"

So does it happen when using the key fob? Or only when you hit the button on the liftgate?

TSB 23-2168 - Whine Noise From The Front Drive Unit When Driving Steady Speed Between 30-40 MPH (48-64 km/h)

Never noticed it on mine, so it's either not affected or I just don't hear it.

An auto CEO came very close to saying the right thing about heavy EV batteries

There you go! Totally agree. And I’m sick of this false equivalency bullshit. Oh no, more brake dust? Mining is bad? Like the emissions and mining from oil refineries isn’t just as bad or worse. It’s about moving forward. We used kill whales for lamp oil FFS. Petroleum’s day came and went and in...

Mach-E to gain access to Tesla Superchargers! Get standard NACS port starting 2025! [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS / SOCIAL / MUSK COMMENTARY]

Glad they finally took my advice! :) Probably the first step to Ford acquiring Tesla in the next 5-7 years (once the stock comes back to earth).
