There was a dealer item that I purchased with my GTPE called RecovR. It is similar to Lojack but isn't tied to the vehicle electrical system. And you can take it with you to your next car.
Hope your insurance makes you whole.
Many thanks for the suggestions. Getting there but not quite. My wife was a museum docent and the original wheels reminded her of a multi-layered Escher print. It is one aspect of design that Ford really got right.
Unfortunately my GTPE has gone away but my wife REALLY misses the wheels. (Don't ask her about the rest of the car.)
Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a similar wheel for other vehicles?
I have an EV6 GT-Line First Edition that I purchased after waiting endlessly for my GTPE.
I have 28,000 miles on this fabulous vehicle that was designed by Albert Biermann from the BMW “M” Group.
I finally got the GTPE - but from a dealer that “went south”. The HVBJB replacement was a...
Thanks for the help you gave me, Todd. I’m moving on as well.
I ordered my GTPE from a local, family owned dealer with a great reputation. By the time it was delivered, the dealer was bought out by clueless conglomerate.
The service sucked pond water. It took six weeks and ten lies to...
I charged just enough to get to the next commercial charger. It was a matter of necessity. I was NOT looking for "free". I was willing to pay for it but they said "on the house". Different latitude - different attitude.
No.
I got a "booster" charge in my Kia EV6 at a VW dealer to get to the next EA. The salesman knew I was from another State and would probably never buy from their dealer. Our chat solidified the concept of an EV community. We help each other out. The electrons are pretty cheap (unless you...
With that much trouble, you may be looking at a buyback. Email Ford BEV with your situation. They may want to avoid a Lemon Law buyback so they can get a clear title. It's not just Ford - all the manufacturers are in the same boat with issues.
One factor that may bump up the value next year is opening of the Tesla charger network. The major "naysayer" argument I encounter is the non-Tesla charging options. Market value may increase as range anxiety decreases.
Mine is gone. I really liked the GTPE but the reliability was not there.
My software “update” for the HVBJB was done at 133 miles. My HVBJB failed at 6,000 miles and it took six weeks and ten lies to repair.
At 8,000 miles, the “SVS” notice produced 284 trouble codes! Massive brain fart...
Did you watch the tow truck load and unload the vehicle? I remember the old Car Talk show on NPR with "Click & Clack, the Tappet Brothers" - one of their acronyms was "FOT", fell off truck.
I haven’t had a front plate on a half dozen vehicles since 1996 when I put a winch on the front of a Land Rover Discovery. Since then, I’ve had five parking tickets and one radar ticket on the ION highway out of Winnemucca - but NO citations for no front plate.
If you get one, it’s a “fix-it”...
Interesting observation. Yesterday afternoon I saw a Mach E with Michigan manufacturer plates leaving an EA station in Lovelock, Nevada. The first thing I noticed was a Pitot tube type device attached to the right, rear quarter panel.
I put my FasTrak on the dashboard when I'm using it and in the glove compartment when not. (Anything visible in California is a candidate for broken window theft.) This unit is twelve years old and has never failed to register. Perhaps newer versions are less sensitive.
