I agree with your statement that it is a charitable view (I try to apply such a view in most circumstances) and that, in most cases, Evs are cheaper to operate. But I have seen many articles with a pollyanna view of EVs and these seem to go unchallenged. I just try and dispassionately evaluate...
Maybe that was the point of the article. There are circumstances to consider when buying an EV. The cost of fast charging is one of them. Because we understand the cars so well, we probably presume knowledge about ownership that the general public does not yet possess. I spent an entire haircut...
I agree. They are compatible in the front seat and I find our Mach E a little roomier in the front. But our Model Y is definitely larger in the back seat and rear storage. The MME has a sloping roofline in the back and you have to duck down to get in. I think that adds to the impression that it...
I have purchased a Tesla and a Mach E online. Neither experience was acceptable in my view. My best car buying experiences have occurred with a dealer I trust and with whom I have a relationship. But I have also had unacceptable buying experiences with other dealers who no longer get my...
The OTAs is a balance. Sometimes it is nice to get the updates and other times it is aggravating to have the screen icons moved or hidden. Like when they moved "easy entry" off the opening screen. It's not so "easy" to enter when you have to go through three screens to enter. I will be...
Car play and a small screen for the driver. Two easy fixes that would greatly improve the driving experience in a Tesla. If Elon calls me, I will let him know.
I will probably borrow your "plumbing work done by an electrician." Describes the situation perfectly.
My wife owns a Model Y Long Range and I took delivery of my MME Premium Extended range last week. I agree with your general impressions that the Tesla is far superior in the tech category, but after a few days, no one cares if your car can fart. I would much rather drive my Mach E daily. The...
That is really nice looking. Mine will not be GT, but I really like that black grill against the blue paint. Now I know who is accelerating past me on the interstate. Enjoy.
Yep. Mine was ordered in June, 2021 and is sitting on a train somewhere. No one can tell me for sure. Not going to get started on the state government. My blood pressure cannot handle it...
I am from La. as well and have already fussed at my legislator for this. Here's hoping our fair state can get on front edge of this wave....but that is not what history suggests.
PS I think you have the year incorrect in your post.
This is a 5 lb balancer and is one of the more expensive ones. But I want it to last. My contractor friend is supposed to clean up the install but it works for now. You can adjust the height by the tension on the balancer. But this one hangs lower because my wife is...vertically challenged...
We ran our cord along the ceiling as well. We added a tool balancer to pull the handle up out of the way when not in use. Not sure if this would be useful in your case, but it was easy to do.
Glad to hear your good news. It is good to know that there is progress.
It is amazing to me how poor the communication is with Ford and the dealers. My dealer called Friday and said it was on a train car somewhere. They think it may be stuck in the New Orleans rail yard, but could not confirm...
