Winter Wheels/Tires Fit Check on 2022 Select

Call them? I tried googling that wheel but couldnā€™t find the specs elsewhere. Donā€™t buy a wheel without checking that spec.

Winter Wheels/Tires Fit Check on 2022 Select

I opted for TSW Sprint for my winter package, 18x8.5ā€ size with I think 40mm offset. No issues after a full season of use last year. When shopping for wheels, be sure to check the load capacity of the wheelā€¦this really cut down the number of options. Itā€™s somewhere in this forum if you want to...

    Colorado - Glass Recall Success?

Iā€˜m trying! Phil Long in Colorado Springs isnā€™t prioritizing recall work, theyā€™re scheduling 3 months out. Have a dealer in Montrose interested in doing the work, but thereā€™s only one mobile glass guy in that area so Iā€™m at the mercy of that schedulingā€¦.almost got it done last week though (But...

My car thinks it’s in orbit (GPS update failure)

Yeah mine just fixed itself, maybe a day, I donā€™t recall, but it didnā€˜t take long.

Dealer scheduling recall work >2 months out?!

My local ford dealer Phil Long Motor City in Colorado Springs, is apparently uninterested in doing recall workā€¦I decided to finally schedule the windshield and roof recall work, but theyā€˜re scheduling out in December at this point! The lady on the phone said thereā€™s only one person assigned to...

Do you use Rain-X windshield washer fluid?

Iā€™ve been using the orange Rain-X fluid for ~32000 miles now on my MME with no issues.

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

This is a dangerous ā€fixā€ though it makes sense as a backup safety feature, to monitor temps like that. I spend lots of time driving two lane rural highways and frequently passing other cars. I time my passes based upon what my car can offer for acceleration. If Iā€™m in the middle of a pass...

Colorado Owners: Standard vs. Extended Range

Iā€™ve put about 25k miles on my ER AWD, mostly on rural highways in Colorado (I drive back and forth between Woodland Park and Ridgway often). With snow tires, winter range has been on the 190-210 rangeā€¦I think the larger battery is a must for cold climates like this, you wonā€™t regret that choice.

    Apple CarPlay issue: music stuttering

Same hereā€¦there are a few locations where I consistently experience the CarPlay connection cutting in and out.

Random Charge Fault & Stop Safely Part 2

Well since itā€™s stuck in your garage, could you hook a charger up to the 12V battery to see if that helps?

    Long Trip Planned

Averaging about 60mph with temps in the teens, Iā€™m getting around 200 range (more like 240miles in 30 deg weather). Precondition the car and be cautious of your heat usage and you should be fine.

    Best mode for snow?

After trying different modes, Iā€™ve settled on Whisper, no 1PD, as being the best. Whisper as itā€™s easier to be gentle with throttle inputs, and no 1PD to allow me to more easily coast through ice when the road is variably icy and clear. This was really useful on Monarch Pass for example.

At which stage during the order process do I know my driveout cost?

You wonā€™t really know until youā€™re at the dealer signing the paperwork. I had arrangements with mine for x-plan pricing, no ADM, and a limit on the doc fees. I had all that in writing, via text messages with my sales guy. Even still, they added those stupid ā€œsecurity stickersā€œ to all the car...

    Who bought the Modern Spare?

I keep ours in the rear all timesā€¦.it takes a lot of cargo space but is worth the peace of mind on the rural routes we take.

    Efficiency Calculations……

Iā€™ve been tracking this data on a 240 mile route I do often, which hasnā€™t required stopping to charge until lately when I installed winter tires. The data never matches, the calculated mi/kWh is always lower than what the trip meter shows. Another factor will be coldā€¦Iā€˜m not getting 88.8kWh...

My car thinks it’s in orbit (GPS update failure)

I take credit for the first Mach-E in orbit, as evidenced by the in-car GPS readout: For a while it though it was in central CO near twin lakes (a place itā€™s never been). GPS wouldnā€™t updateā€¦I began to think that was due to my having pulled fuse #23 due to a stereo that was freaking out and...

Trip1 & Trip 2 showing different mi/kWh when recording same trip

Do you mean the journey recording? I donā€™t have that turned on currently. Tried it when I first got the car and found it useless, tried it a couple weeks ago and it locked up the app, I had to reinstall the app and set up my phone as a key again! Is it usefulā€¦should I try again?

Trip1 & Trip 2 showing different mi/kWh when recording same trip

I think neither is correct. Iā€™ve been tracking consumption on a 240 mile route I do weekly, and have found the reporting mi/kWh (blue line below) does not match what you get when calculating it based upon battery % (green line).

Dumbest fuse box design ever (rant mode)

Interesting thought. I actually never took it in to the dealer for that 12V issue, it was too much of a hassle due to where I live and the car was otherwise fine. An OTA update appeared to fix it. Iā€™ll check those LVB connectionsā€¦Iā€™m planning to pull those this weekend to totally power cycle...
