Well there was a giant nail in the tire. Ford Roadside towed it on the flatbed (under my strict supervision and the handy tow guide). According to Ford the nail was too close to whatever to be able to repair. Took them the rest of the week to get the new tire in and installed. Had my rotation...
I agree. I've probably tipped the first domino in a big chain of hassle. Tow truck arrival is (supposedly) imminent so now I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
Thank you everyone for your fast responses. I keep a printout of the tow instructions in the glove box. The tire is still under warranty so I'm going to call ford roadside and have it towed to the dealer. I'm assuming the dealer is the only way to get it covered under the warranty.
Yesterday my rear driver's side tire was at 26 psi. I filled it to 39 and went on my way. This morning it's at 3 psi and flat. Can I drive it to the tire place (< 2 miles)? Do I need to call ford roadside and get it towed? Are there special instructions to provide for changing an MME tire...
Not to get into legal semantics, but whether or not Xxx YYY is legally authorized to make the deal is probably less relevant in court than was it reasonable for you to believe that he was authorized to make the deal. Which it totally is. I doubt it would ever get to court, because the...
Dealers are loathe to put anything in writing. Any time I emailed my salesman, he would call me. Finally, after one such phone discussion, I followed up in an email with a list of the questions I had asked and the responses he had given me and said "this email is to confirm the accuracy of our...
I often look down and find myself in the 90 range. It's just so smooth and easy, I forget that I'm pressing the accelerator. I slow down as soon as I notice though. I try to not go over 9 mph the speed limit for sustained periods of time bc I have some speeding ticket issues.
I find I rest my foot lightly on the accelerator. Not enough to change the speed. I tried sitting with both feet on the floor mat but it seemed like I wouldn't be able to react fast enough onto one pedal or the other if need be. Just curious
I've grown to like it more, but do find it to be basically glorified adaptive cruise control with lane assist. Although straight lane assist in no way handles curves the way BC does. It can be super jerky at times, and I don't like when at highway speeds the car in front of me has its brake...
Thanks. I rarely go above 90, and when I do it's not for sustained periods of time. I like to goose it now and then for fun, but generally keep it at 85 and below. 75% of my driving is on 35 mph or less roads around town.
*apologies in advance if there are numerous threads already addressing this. I did a search and came up with too many general posts to adequately assess. If it's been addressed, please link the thread(s)"
As anyone who has spent time on these forums knows, you can become skittish with the...
It's hard not to worry when spending time on these forums. You hear all the horror stories, which makes sense. Since people in general tend to post their frustrations and problems more frequently than, let's say, everything going as expected, you may get an inflated sense of problems and issues...
I don't know that there's so much a stigma against paying a mark up as some people (me) just won't do it. However, I have strict policy about not having an opinion on how other people spend their money (as long as they aren't asking me for any). You can't put a price on happiness, enjoyment...
