The wording in that message is confusing. I think they mean if you don't come back soon enough and disconnect, then idle fees could be assessed.
If you've disconnected, you're also likely moving the car immediately. No way to detect or enforce that, but most reasonable humans would move the...
This is expected behavior, and not an inaccurate report from FordPass.
The battery management system spends time slowly evening out the voltage across the different cells as it’s nearing 100%. Yes it could take another hour to finish those last few pct and it’s good for the battery to...
Mongoose+ cable is a solid choice, there isn't a reliable alternative to that option.
Your power supply looks super nice, but its definitely overkill for what the Mach E currently needs during updates. I've seen the car draw somewhere in the mid 30A range for power needs during updates. Some...
It seems like the car is forgetting your timezone, and reverting to Dearborn time (ET).
Perhaps change your preferred charging times to 3am - 3pm. That way, it will never start before 12am PT and you should still have enough time to fully charge each night.
Same, I have expired Nav and I could not get mine to precondition except in the following cases:
* Charger is listed in "Recent destinations", and selecting it from there will precondition
OR
* Enter a new destination, but before clicking "Go", look in the "nearby" section and choose chargers...
55 deg ambient is too cool for the battery if you want a good DCFC rate.
Use Ford nav to set the DCFC destination and disable cabin climate control.
You need to get the battery to like 80–90 deg F for the car to request higher rates of DCFC.
Can you explain what a V3 mixed site is then? I don't get it...
There seems to be
* The dispenser, which seems straightforward to tell v3 from other versions.
AND
* The big cabinets located behind / off-to-the-side. I don't know what these do, but presumably they take AC from the grid and...
Set your max charge to 80% and plug in every day and stay plugged in. There is no advantage to running the battery down and filling it all at once like you would an ICE fuel tank.
Something to keep in mind is that if this optimization is steering *everyone* towards the "good charger", those stations are more likely to be fully occupied.
In which case, I'd rather take a station that has open spots immediately, rather than show up to a line of cars.
Eh, seems like a post/article specifically designed to elicit a strong reaction out of people (that gets more clicks). It's missing key details, like was the station full and the angry guy was blocked?
I was at a Tesla station on Wednesday with my adapter. Guy with a model Y walked over and...
What I discovered today is that even if Tesla upgrades a site to V3, that doesn't guarantee the NACS adapter will be accepted. Or at least not immediately.
I went to the Lexington, MA service center on I-95 (aka 128), and it appears to have V3 hardware. The Tesla app does not show it as...
