28k on the stock tires is great. We got a little less than that on ours. Didn't care to go for summer tires again for a daily driver, so swapped to the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and have been happy with them so far.

If you haven't already you should report your phantom braking to the NHTSA. They started investigating Tesla for it last year, so any extra reports I'm sure help. Heck, any kind of safety issue should get reported otherwise the agency can't do as much. https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem

I'm in So Cal and my dealer quoted me like $115 for both 10k and 20k service, both online scheduler pricing and on the printout when I dropped off the car. Dropping off the car for the 10k though they told me something like "but it will probably be cheaper." Sure enough, both 10k and 20k...

100% agree. My main point being that if there was no gov't money then Tesla wouldn't be doing this, not the other way around.

People need to understand that it isn't the government who is sucking Tesla's tits, but Tesla sucking the government's. Sure the government is likely encouraging the move, but the only reason Tesla is even considering opening up superchargers is because there's free government money on the line...

Where'd the info come from that it was a battery puncture? Everything linked on this thread just says "cause unknown".

I totally agree and love getting more features. My point is more so that Pet Mode was a need for Tesla and RIvian because as soon as you get out of the car and walk away the car turns itself off so they needed a way to keep it running. That's not an issue for us, as long as I don't turn the car...

While fun features are nice we have a stop/start button so we don't need a special mode. Just get out of the car without turning it off. Park your car, don't turn off the car, open Sketch and write "THE A/C IS ON MY DOG IS FINE" if you want, get out of the car, lock it, and walk away. Of course...
