Was my Mach-e born a lemon? Update: not lemon, just lower priority

Glad for you. I hope it is all the more special. The one that I ordered apparently arrived today, but I don't know how it looks since I backed out of the deal last week. My loss (and Ford's loss since they have one less customer in their ecosystem - just a drop in the bucket)

Was my Mach-e born a lemon? Update: not lemon, just lower priority

Well, I just gave up after 63 days since my ordered car was built. I contacted the dealer and asked for my order to be canceled since it is still MIA and he had no idea when it would arrive. I too have thought it might be a "lemon" saying to myself well maybe the car was damaged during...

    Base MSRP increase for Premium?

Yes, I have an order since June 2020 - look at my signature. As I eluded to before, the order doesn't include any details about the X-plan discount amount. Did you negotiate the exact X-plan discount upon ordering? If not, I would think that the going rate is what is published at the time of...

    Base MSRP increase for Premium?

Right, but the configurator doesn't account for X-plan. As I see it now, X-plan will only save me about $77 instead of $665.

    Base MSRP increase for Premium?

I just noticed today (April fool's day) that the base MSRP for the Premium increased by $600! Wow, maybe that's why my delivery is past due. Or is this a joke? Before: After:

Is this a Dealer Trend for the Mach-E?

I noticed the same thing as the OP. It is easy to see that the "dealer ordered" stamp appears on many of the selects yet to be delivered. That tells me that the dealers are intentionally ordering more of them. I'll bet that the lower price tag for the casual buyer passing buy will be lured in...

Dealership accepting X-Plan for some vehicles --?

Not sure if this is out of date, but EVBite wrote an article showing an image from Ford of the Mach-E invoicing.

Dealership accepting X-Plan for some vehicles --?

It would be nice to know what the dealer holdback is for the Mach-E.

    Interior pillar color

Thank you for sharing the part #'s. If my vehicle order ever arrives, I was going to try to use it as leverage to get Ford to pay for the misrepresentation. But unfortunately, I think either the dealer or myself would need to absorb the cost.

Wireless CarPlay and the "hot" phone

Or, could it be the wireless charging pad making it warm? Try placing the phone in a different spot while using wireless CarPlay.

    Auto Perpendicular Parking

Well, I'm not going to try it. This feature is half baked:

    The Build Week 1/24/2021 Club

My car is slowly making progress, but I see that some of you 1/24's have speed ahead of a 1/17'er. 1/12 - Sticker date. 1/17 - My order scheduled build week. 1/30 - In production date. 2/3 - Ford pass activate button showed up. 2/9 - Email from Ford saying built and ETA of 3/23 - 3/29. 2/10 -...

Alex on Autos: 10 "Problems" of the Mach-E

Thank you for extracting that info from Ford. Not sure how different the european model is, but Bjorn measured the AWD ER at a weigh station which rang in at 2300 kg minus his weight of 75 kg and totaling 4905 lbs. Maybe his video equipment and food weighed 67 lbs?

Alex on Autos: 10 "Problems" of the Mach-E

Alex, concerning your video at the ~7:50 mark... Please check your sources on the vehicle weight. I think you have the AWD ER model which is heavier than what you said 4400/4500lbs. That might be about right for the SR model, but the ER is upwards of 4900lbs.

    Interior pillar color

Thank you, I hope it won't cost nearly as much for just a new set of pillar covers. It's just a shame that Ford couldn't make it clear to me ahead of time what I was ordering. Some pictures showed the dark version just like on the ford tracking page for my vin...

    Mach E First Edition range

Neither. The range that is listed on the display doesn't mean what it could get. Rather, it is just a cautiously recommended number of miles to go before you should charge. To avoid letting you getting stranded, it essentially includes a variable buffer depending on your driving habits and...

    Interior pillar color

I'm hoping that the 'premium' model with the light colored pillar casings can easily be replaced with the darker ones that come with the 'first edition'. I am mainly frustrated with how it casts a noticeable glare onto the windshield. Does anyone have experience if these covers pop off easily...

    Battery Capacity and Charging

I don't know about your outlander PHEV, but I don't think balancing occurs until at about 70-80% on the SOC curve. (and higher % if considering the Mach-E buffer) This is especially tricky with serial/parallel arrays. Some relevant links to read: cell matching serial / parallel configs...
